I research and find great examples, including my own, and explain why they work.

Gamification has the power to make even the most tedious tasks fun. 🕹️

That’s what makes it a strong marketing tool. Or as Omara puts it, a ≫tool of mass influence≪.

In one of his newsletters, he talks about gamification and 20 other triggers you can use to connect with your audience, increase engagement, build trust or boost sales.

It instantly gave me at least three fresh ideas - three new marketing tactics to try out :)

Advertising to an audience with endless objections ♾️
[MINI CASE STUDY] 

In an industry with misconceptions about solutions like yours, marketing can be quite challenging. 

You have to raise awareness, educate, and shift people’s perspectives. 

In short, there are lots of objections you need to handle. And lots of pain points you can now solve, but need to educate about. 

I’m always curious to see how brands find ways around these challenges. And when browsing LinkedIn's ad library for Adfolio, I came across Jasper’s ads. 

Jasper is an interesting example because their customers’ main objection is that AI content could never be as good as human-made. Their customers are also unaware of some applications of AI. 

So Jasper came up with a whole campaign, where they wrote their customers’ thoughts (objections) on notes and responded to them.

They basically: 

— Entered the conversation in their customers’ minds by displaying their thoughts on handwritten notes 

— Used the ad visual to make their point. A handwritten note with a message. This by itself already gives a raw and human appeal, before even reading the contents of the message 

— Responded to their objections with strong arguments 

— Alluded to a solution using their UI, further enhancing the human-AI collaboration 

— Used an authoritative tone in the CTA to emphasize how confident they are about their product

If you’ve been following my content, you should already know I’m all about pragmatism.

I love using features, capabilities and product categories in my marketing messages.

But often, there’s a need to include a benefit/outcome to communicate the product’s value effectively. 

And one of my favorite ways of doing it is by framing it as tangible. 

Which is how reMarkable did it.

They gave the product’s outcome a physical form, indicating that in addition to a digital notebook, you’ll be gifting your team a clutter-free desk.

Easy to imagine, and even easier to create instant desire.

I found the tool I've been looking for.

Great interactive demo, acceptable pricing, simple onboarding.

But my purchase decision depended on one very specific detail. 

GDPR compliance & server location.

Something I couldn't find anywhere on their site.

And also it was impossible to find their contact info. 

They only offered email support for existing customers.

I sent them an email anyway.

Took them 2 weeks to answer.

I didn't wait.

I went with their competitor.

If you can't afford to lose prospects like this, talk to your sales team and try to identify the most common questions/objections. 

Make sure to address them on your website. 

And make it easy for prospects to contact you.
