Creative Tim is a business that owns multiple products, selling templates for all available programming languages. The focus was on Creative-Tim.com, the main business, but also on growing their most recent and promising product, Material-Tailwind.com

I joined as an advisor to help them better understand their SEO and find opportunities, fix tracking issues, optimise ad spend and test out new channels, like developer-focused communities.

Play Vertical

Play Vertical is a video production agency focused on creating short form content, like TikToks, Reels and Shorts.

I joined as an advisor to help them set up the marketing function from scratch - implement tracking on their website, do keyword research and create a plan for creating content, create their first funnel (landing page + adwords) and open up discussions with other digital agencies that do not have a video team in-house.

Basmo

Basmo is a B2C app that helps people with their reading, helping them take notes, scanning texts,
understanding the meaning behind certain paragraphs and keeping a journal.

I joined as an advisor to help understand why they we're losing organic traffic, how they can leverage programmatic SEO using their user generated content and dig into their Amplitude data to find the low hanging fruits.

Lokalise

Joined Lokalise in a Growth position, being the liaison between marketing and product. 

In the first 90 days I identified onboarding as the biggest drop-off and I led the project designing and creating a new onboarding experience that improved onboarding rate by 37%. 

After the layoffs in November, I moved to the acquisition team to lead the acquisition efforts in the Enterprise space. I was responsible for the entire customer acquisition experience, from the first touchpoint up to handing over an SQL to the AEs.

Initially I focused on the paid media efforts, creating a campaign structure and layering audiences and campaigns to ensure a smooth transition from awareness to consideration and conversion. 

Then we brought on an ABM platform, I had to oversee the implementation and I was the power user of the platform, putting everything together in order to improve the conversion rates throughout the funnel. I was working closely with the SDRs to get more meetings booked with higher quality leads.

✔ Achievements: Implemented from scratch an ABM platform, strategy and 3 different playbooks, one for each stage of the buying journey. Created campaigns with CTRs of 3-4% on LinkedIn that increased pipeline by 19% in a time when pipeline is drying out for a lot of SaaS platforms. Helped 2 Enterprise SDRs to get into the top3 SDRs at a company level.

Account Based Marketing Manager

Initially I joined the team as a Senior Growth Marketing Manager with the goal of implementing PLG in the product and also assist on the acquisition side. 

After 6 months I took over the Marketing department and rebranded it as a Growth department as we started to rely more on data to drive decisions. I implemented the AARRR framework from scratch and recruited people for the missing positions, ending up with a team of 10 direct reports. 

We were responsible for the main KPI of the company, the revenue (mid 7-figure), and we built a full-funnel experience. We, as a team, had control over all the acquisition side, the onboarding and the churn.

There were many efforts that led to our achievements and I’ll list here just a few:
✔ totally revamping the content strategy in close collaboration with our in-house SEO person that brought us record organic traffic
✔ understanding the numbers in our Adwords account, figuring out what’s driving revenue, dropping what’s not performing and doubling down on what works, doubling the ROAS
✔ implementing from scratch an onboarding experience, both inside the product and via email
✔ creating the first churn detection and prevention mechanism in the company that allowed us to reduce churn by almost 30%
✔ scaling up the partnership side to achieve 117% of our goal for 2 years in a row

Head of Growth

MrCase

Founded one of the first online shops in Romania selling personalised/custom phone cases. As a founder I had to wear many hats and handle many aspects of the business, from customer support to building the website, from email marketing to vendor relationship, from growth strategy to accounting. 


I started things slow in order to optimise operations and make sure we can deliver the right quality in the required timeframe. In the first year I built up our SEO, created relationships with other stores, found distribution channels and improved the quality of the product. For the next 3 years the YoY growth was close to 100%, dropping in the 5th year as the market was flooded with very similar products. At that time I did not know how to build a brand or a moat so I ended up having a small exit when things slowed down.

INNOBYTE

I lead a development team of 10 people - 8 devs + 2 QA) for the FashionDays project, which is the biggest fashion eCommerce in Romania with a 9-figure annual turnover. 

This role was a more technical role, being very close to the developers and further away from the business team. I had to write specifications for the projects, make sure we accurately estimated the effort to deliver the projects and manage all the stakeholders involved in the project.

On a daily basis, I was running the daily stand-ups making sure that there are no blockers, everybody is on track and that each sprint goes accordingly to plan. 

✔ Achievements: I was part of the biggest project in the Romanian eCommerce at the time, the backend implementation of the two biggest shops. It was a massive project with over 10k man-hours that was delivered in about 6 months.

Senior Product Manager

Retargeting

I joined Retargeting as the first marketing hire, before the company had product-market fit. 

Short term the focus was on finding product-market fit and developing the product accordingly. I balanced the technical side with the marketing one. On the technical side I led a team of 10 people (developers, design, QA) and we finished building the product. On the marketing side it was about early customer interviews, finding product-market fit and putting the initial processes in place along with the basics needed in order to scale.

Once we had PMF and we knew our ICP the focus was on scaling the marketing side, both the team and the results. I had to implement a full-funnel strategy, overseeing the customer experience from the first touch point up until retention. It was less paid media and more PLG. 

On the team side, I had to understand what people we needed and in what positions, recruit those people, onboard them and create the processes for everybody to work together.

✔ Achievements: In two years the company went from 1 employee to over 30 and the revenue hit low 7-figures.

Growth Product Manager

Growth in B2B SaaS

I’m a T-shaped technical marketer, if that’s even a thing. Spent most of my career in marketing but with a 2 years “adventure” into product management, leading development efforts from the technical side of things. 

Two times I’ve led startups from 0 to 6 and 7-figure revenue, scaling all sides of the business - product, marketing, team. I built some great PLG experiences but also seen some fails, which made me learn that not every project is the same, if it worked for me it doesn’t mean that it will also work for you.

I’ve owned 7-figure paid media budgets and ran hundreds of experiments across tens of products, sometimes as a full time hire, sometimes as a growth consultant. I’m a data guy so I like going down the rabbit hole, digging through data and getting some actionable insights out of it. Sometimes that could mean digging through Google Analytics or Semrush, other times it could be Mixpanel or ActiveCampaign. 

I get sh*t done. The place where I shine can come with a variety of titles, but what’s important for me is ownership and impact, preferably in a position from where I can build a full-funnel experience.
