Sales Manager

My role was a new business based position, where I was responsible for proactively contacting and generating new clients for the business. Additionally, I also looked after and serviced my existing clients and grew revenue streams from these businesses.

Duties included:
* Prospecting new business contacts
* Face to face meetings
* Sourcing candidates for positions
* Proposal and tender writing
* Running assessment centres

Pareto have moved away from traditional 'recruitment' methods, having realised that most experienced sales professionals come with preconceived ideas and bad habits, quite often jump ship very quickly and cost our clients a lot of money from their basic salaries right through to their company cars and recruitment fees attached to them.

Pareto understand that our clients want mouldable sales people, ones they can train to sell the way they want them to sell. Our clients want people with the right attitude and core sales competencies, and that's why they come back to Pareto again and again.

Pareto Law have two main arms - the first is that we assess between 6000-6500 graduate applications per month for specific sales competencies. For the 3% that succcessfuly pass our assessment process, we then place these graduates into sales roles, and facilitate that placement with structured sales training to suit that role.

What usually happens is that these graduates start outperforming seasoned professionals in their role, and that is why Pareto also offer our full sales training to our clients existing sales teams. We are able to cover the full sales cycle from cold calling, to negotiation, account managment to sales management training.

This training has also been put in place to make technical people more commercially aware, and allow them to spot new opportunities for their companies.
