After leaving CSC, I was offered a short-term role at Linfox to help their IT group transition from an outsourced to Insourced model.  My main task was to recruit 30 new Infrastructure engineers and was my first experience as a recruiter. 

Seeing an opportunity to combine actual IT experience and workforce design with recruitment, I took the plunge and started my own business. 

Over time this has grown to offer not just recruitment but also training in job search skills, personal and company branding as well as consulting in Data Analytics.

Director

Building on the work I had done in the Workforce Management role, I moved into a new role as a Business Intelligence lead, working directly with the President of CSC Australian and the senior management team. 

My main task was to bring together Financial, HR, and Operational data to create a clear view of issues facing the business as well as opportunities

My Achievements:

Led a global team to develop a suite of metrics to monitor labour productivity from a global/regional level down to team/account level. Implemented a successful pilot in Australia.

Delivered $21m per annum in cost savings by implementing an offshoring program that used data to identify hotspots of opportunity in the business to offshore roles and redeploy the Australian based staff.

Delivered $5m per annum by implementing a recovery program to claw back revenue leakage through incorrectly coded timesheets.

Identified $42m of combined cost savings and revenue increase by modeling the impact of high-value staff working on low-value BAU work.  I then developed a recovery program with ongoing monitoring/reporting.

Business Intelligence Lead

Initially, I was part of the rollout of the workforce planning initiative and then selected to lead the team put in place to drive the development and implementation of a coordinated Workforce Management strategy and offshoring program.

Subsequently, this program was rolled out to CSC globally using the processes and strategies developed by the Australian team.

My Achievements:

Implementation of a streamlined off-shoring programme. 

Development of the strategic workforce planning model. The program developed was picked up by CSC Global in 2010 for implementation worldwide.

Implementation of a Redeployment Programme realising cost savings of $1.2 mil per annum.

National Workforce Management Lead

As the Manager of the Southern Region Network team, I was responsible for the delivery of all services; operational, engineering and consulting, to our clients. This included full responsibility and accountability for the financial performance of the individual Southern Region accounts with total revenue of $15 Million per annum.

In addition to the management role, I was also The CSC Network Account Champion for BHP Globally.  This meant I was a management escalation point for critical network issues across the hundreds of sites BHP had worldwide.

Network Engineering Manager - Southern Region 

Managing a great team of 10 Network Engineers, I was responsible for the day-to-day operational network support for all the business units of BHP based in Melbourne.
When CSC took over BHP IT, my team were tasked with integrating the BHP and CSC networks, so CSC could provide services from day one of the contract.
