As the CEO I am leading efforts to align the Australian design industry with the global Design Declares movement, a collective of designers, studios, agencies, and institutions committed to declaring a climate and ecological emergency.

 

I am focusing on executing the 8 Acts of Emergency across five key sectors: Communications, Product, Digital, Service, and Interiors. Reporting to the advisory board, Andrew aims to harness design to reimagine, rebuild, and heal our world.

Vert Design

Vert Design has been operating as an industrial design consultancy since 2005 and has built a reputation for simple elegant products that combine a designer’s eye for form and detail with a practical knowledge of manufacturing. 

We have worked on projects for small start-up companies to large international medical device developers.

Vert Design’s services range from concept development through to detailed design, cad modeling, prototyping, engineering and production management.  We also offer our services to help with part reviews and quality control.

Our mission is to make dad's look like legends and we do it well. 

The Balmain Boat Company creates flat-packed, Ikea-inspired boats, because anyone can build a boat. Our boats are sold around the world and we have created hundreds of happy 'boat builders'

ADC Board 

The ADC Board has seven volunteer directors led by the Chair Elizabeth Espinosa. Board members are appointed for a two-year term, with a possible two further terms of two years each.

There is a good mix of skills and experience amongst the directors to oversee the governance of the organisation and support the CEO and the team. 

Directors are required to attend a minimum of six meetings a year, as well as participate in board committees and attend ADC events.  Directors are also required to actively contribute to the ADC fundraising program and be regular donors.
