Andrew set-up Coralfish, a boutique communications consultancy in 2014 to serve clients in Canary Wharf, London & across Europe. He helps clients with their employee engagement strategy and channel management, and also provides consultancy to political campaigns. Andrew can be hired by the day, week or month to work on crisis communications and short term pressure points, or longer-term to work on larger projects.

He works with business leaders and Change Programme Directors to deliver communications that support business change, leadership communications and organisational culture change, and has plenty of experience leading communications teams in person and remotely across international borders.

With experience in Internal & External Communications, Andrew specialises in Channels Strategy and Community Management, in particular all things to do with intranets and digital channels like apps and employee social networks (Workplace by Facebook, Jive, Yammer, IBM Connections etc). Andrew can advise you on redesigning or implementing a new intranet together with all the governance and training issues involved. He's also experienced in bringing together communities of like minded people.  

If you're a lone communicator in-house, Andrew can help you develop and review your Internal Communications strategy or act as a mentor if you wish.  Booked for one day a week or month, he can be an extra pair of hands or a useful sounding board for you if you are managing your company's communications alone. Andrew works on-site in the Canary Wharf/City of London area and throughout Europe by arrangement for clients in a number of industries. Global Programme Communications Consultant/Lead

Advising on, writing, designing & producing internal communications (and some external communications) for a complex change programme. This involved planning & recommending approach, writing copy, graphic design, UX design and liaison with project teams & all elements of production of change communications.  Andrew used a variety of channels such as bulk email, social intranet (Jive) as well as print and face to face channels.

Change Communications Consultant/Advisor

During this 6-month assignment, delivered entirely remotely from London, Andrew provided supplementary delivery capability to CRH Europe headquartered in Amsterdam. With an audience spread between 80 separate operating companies, Andrew was able to draw on marketing experience with bulk e-mail/EDM to help CRH Europe reach employees in 14 local languages using Poppulo (Newsweaver).  Andrew project managed a complex translation and video subtitling process from English into a range of other European languages and redesigned email templates to make the user-experience better for staff. Click/open statistics and video views indicated improved engagement following these developments. During his time with CRH Europe, Andrew also advised on a few internal communications channels matters, including how to reach remote employees and the steps needed for success when launching an employee social network. Internal Communications Channels Consultant

WSP in the UK

During this short-term consultancy assignment Andrew helped WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff understand the full extent of their intranet and the work that would be involved in migrating to a new platform, and at the same time was able to deliver a number of tactical but significant UX Design improvements to make the UK intranet more usable for staff and more efficient for productivity. The result was a 20% increase in engagement, and a much improved look and feel. Andrew also advised on Internal Communications Channel Strategy and designed and delivered a programme of author training to sharpen up intranet governance.
