Andrew formed Elabor8 with Nam Huynh and Paul Velonis in mid-2010, a consultancy that aims to help its customers deliver exceptional products and services and drive positive cultural change through the adoption of lean/agile.

Andrew's was elected to the International Institute of Business Analysis's Board in 2014 as a Director of the Australian Chapter. With responsibility for the Member Services Portfolio, his aim is to advance business analysis and ensure that the profession keeps pace with changes in the ways that modern IT teams are working.

Telstra

Andrew was engaged on the ISIS Program, which aimed to augment Telstra's ability to recover its critical IT systems and data in the event of a disaster. The program delivered data protection for hundreds of systems and mitigation against risk of data centre failure. Andrew's role included business impact assessments across the enterprise, mitigation identification and prioritisation, and development of a resilience framework based on Carnegie Mellon's CERT.

Medibank

Andrew worked on Medibank's Online Transformation program which aimed to deliver an improved User Experience through the introduction of a more iterative and customer centric development process. The team developed new ways of working aligned with organisational policy using a mix of agile, UX, BPMN and Use Cases 2.0.

Lead Business Analyst

Andrew was engaged to develop the non-functional requirements for the NextGen program and to negotiate vendor compliance in an environment with a complex accountability model. This led to an enterprise approach to non-functionals.

Andrew received the NextGen Excellence award and was twice nominated for the SA&SP Reward and Recognition program.

Business Analyst

Andrew performed the role of Business / Process Analyst for Telstra's Logical Inventory Transformation, defining To-Be business processes / operational procedures. The first release of Cramer (IP/MPLS) was deployed successfully in June 09.

Business / Process Analyst

Sensis

Andrew worked at Sensis as a Business Analyst on the White Pages Online project.  The project had a number of facets but its primary aims were to refresh and re-platform the White Pages site while also preparing for changes that would occur due to Sensis’ MORPH project.

The project operated under a methodology which was most closely aligned to Extreme Programming.  Andrew’s role included some traditional requirements analysis, but predominantly involved development of User Stories and UIs, management of story delivery and iteration planning / release management.

Object Consulting

Andrew was employed as a Senior Consultant with Object Consulting.  In addition to project work he was also an active member to both the Business Analysis and Capability Improvement Practice Groups.

Project Experience:

Telstra - Softswitching for PSTN Deployment (POTS)

Lead Process Architect role on Telstra's Soft Switching for PSTN Deployment (POTS) project, a business initiative associated with the Titan Program which will deliver Next Generation Networking capabilities into Telstra's existing fixed line telephony infrastructure and pave the way for Fibre to the Node (FttN) initiatives.  

Received Object Consulting's ‘Top Gun’ award (April 2007) for outstanding client feedback arising from this project.

Department for Victorian Communities (DVC) - eGrants

The eGrants project delivered a software application to support the DVC grants management lifecycle with an extensible system to cater for the evolving needs of the department, and to allow additional departments to be brought onto the system in a Whole of Victorian Government implementation.

Andrew was the Business Analyst on the “Victorian Business Master Key” project emerging from the “Victoria: Leading the Way” Economic Statement.
