Since I started planning events in 2005, I have produced over 2000 events and helped clients raise more than $150 million dollars. However, through my journey something crazy happened to me. I got sick and tired of planning events how everyone else was and running into the roadbloacks because I am Black. During the pandemic I made the decision to walk away from event planning. Before I could, I asked myself if I was giving up after all this or was I strong enough to help an industry bring about change. During the pandemic I started to revamp how I was doing business and who I was willing to work with. I'm happy to say this has been the best decision of my entire career. Now my mission as an Event Planner includes: ✔️ Serving as a Keynote Speaker talking about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the event industry. ✔️ Partnering with the marketing firms that want to have more intentional events for their brand or organization. ✔️ Supporting charity organizations that are close to military Veterans, as I'm a Army Veteran and also helping marginalized communities. ✔️ I run a coaching business for Event Planners who are struggling to find fulfillment in what they do and desire to have freedom from work to have a better personal life.
