Crazy, but rumors have it there might be a second $1B round for "AIxBio" startup in less than a year... 

According to report by Kyle LaHucik, Sam Altman's Retro Biosciences eyes $1B to extend lifespan via aiming its foundation model at cellular reprogramming. 

OpenAI has created a ChatGPT model called GPT-4b micro for Retro Biosciences, I wrote about it in the last LinkedIn post (https://lnkd.in/dyTB8g4U) but I did not know about the amount they want to raise!

Just to remind you, the pervious $1B rounds was raised back in 2024 by Xaira Therapeutics, with its technology rooted in advanced AI models from the lab of co-founder and 2024's Novel Laureat Dr. David Baker (my linkedin post with more details here: https://lnkd.in/dHGFVn6P).

Crazy times tbh... huge valudations and hype, but also huge opportunities in science and business likewise... One thing is clear, we will have a lot of winners and even more loosers in the AI drug discovery/biotech space pretty soon.
