As part of our programmes, I do team-training to up to 100 people at a time, and provide leadership coaching to senior team members and rising stars. Watching people develop lifelong skills as they progress through the programme is amazing.

I've worked with many teams during my career - both agency and client side - and I love using this learning to the benefit of others, to guide them in overcoming some of the challenges I've experienced first-hand.

Our programmes offers a mix of training and coaching - whereas training is all about facilitating the group to find pre-existing answers, coaching is about facilitating individuals to come up with creative ideas to overcome their largest challenges.

Nomensa

I joined the management team at Nomensa to lead the UX team through the challenging period that was 2020.

My time was spent helping adopt new tools and ways of working to maintain velocity through the pandemic, aligning the team to Nomensa business priorities, encouraging the team to live company values and ‘think bigger’, coaching senior UX team members and upskilling across the team. I was responsible for monthly revenue, utilisation and new business targets and took an active role in winning new clients.

I retained some practitioner time with responsibility for strategic delivery across key clients.

Inviqa

Following Inviqa's acquisition of Webcredible, I led the integration of Experience Design - 
maintaining and evolving our reputation as a centre of excellence with responsibility for a team of consultants across the UK and Germany.

My key responsibilities were to maintain and develop the culture of our team and our design process, make sure our team worked with product and engineering in the best possible way, attract and retain the best talent to the team, document and share best-practice, developing and delivering training materials, coaching senior members of staff, manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders and ensure that the team were empowered to deliver their best work.

Webcredible

As Experience Director at Webcredible I was part of the leadership team that grew the company to acquisition. I was responsible for our delivery team (approx 30 UX/UI consultants), studio revenue, team culture and the quality of our work.

As a leadership team, we established a transformational programme to deliver training and behaviours to our teams that delivered a dramatic improvement on working practice, client feedback and account revenue.

My role was heavily client facing and I worked with leaders from some of the UK’s leading brands to develop their digital teams, improve digital leadership, influence at C-suite level, build capability and deliver work that aligned with strategic goals and big picture thinking.

Experience Director

Shopzilla, Inc.

Wanting to have more influence in product direction, I joined a US-based eCommerce company, ShopZilla, as product owner of Bizrate Insights. I was responsible for full, end-to-end product lifecycle in the EU. 

I revived a flailing product - creating a product vision and developing a strategy to achieve it. I maintained the product roadmap and managed execution of projects to deliver key business targets. I introduced user research and competitor/data analysis to fully understand user needs and product requirements. 

Key to achieving this success was building successful working relationships between product, design, engineering and senior business stakeholders. I put in place a framework to create a more open culture leading to an improvement in communication and delivery.

Uffindell

Responsible for developing a digital offering within a branding agency. 

Uffindell had a small digital presence among clients which they were ambitious to grow. My role was to make digital core to the modern brand experience, to increase the value of digital work delivered and to manage (and in many cases, deliver) the output of the studio.

Neuxpower Solutions

I joined Neuxpower from university rapidly becoming a partner in the company and growing a small start-up into an international company with multi-million pound annual turnover.

As a partner, I was responsible for company direction, corporate planning and delivering the strategy to realise our ambitions. Didn't always get things right - and learnt a huge amount along the way - but we did launch the NXPowerLite file compression product which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide to organisations as diverse as NASA, Coca Cola, Virgin, Diagio, NATO, Chanel, IBM, Nestle and the FBI.
