I believe that BDRs should not only improve their sales skills but also their content creation and copywriting skills to book more meetings and have more options in their career progression. As a BDR my cold call skills were average on their own, however, I use my copywriting and opportunity identification skills to identify the right people to reach out to at the right time with a call script that resonates with them. That's why I think my skill set would either align with marketing or business development management. Not all BDRs are the same so it is good to utilize what you are good at to book more meetings and get that commission.
