As a dedicated and dynamic leader in higher education, I bring over 15 years of comprehensive experience in leading post-secondary operations. My expertise spans teaching in higher education, academic operations, grants and project management, scaling programs, leading institutional research, and collaborating on data-driven practices with faculty and graduate school leadership, overseeing student academic advising, and establishing our Institute's inaugural DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) Council and leading numerous inaugural DEIB initiatives. As the Assoc. Dir. of Inst'l Research and Academic Planning, I perform holistic assessments of the curriculum that have resulted in the revision of curriculum maps and the alignment of rubrics to course and program learning outcomes (CLOs & PLOs) for effective assessment and program review. Whether through strategic planning, program management, or curriculum development, I am energized by the opportunity to help deans and faculty with academic planning and data-driven, institutional research practices. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a proven track record of success in both on-site and remote supervisory roles, showcasing my adaptability and excellence in team management. Leading a graduate program team primarily from a distance requires a unique set of skills, including clear communication, the ability to build trust and rapport, and support team members at a distance. I am proud of the growth and success of our graduate program and how I've helped guide it through significant expansions and enhancements, increased the underrepresented student population, secured reaccreditation, and implemented innovative educational initiatives. Passionate about DEIB and STEM education, I volunteered as the inaugural DEI Committee Lead and later took on a paid, dual role as the inaugural DEIB Program Manager until a full-time DEIB manager was hired. I established the Institute-wide DEI Council made up of four committees that benefited from executive sponsorship and led a successful recruitment campaign to improve the diversity of our community. I drafted a strategic plan and aligned teams to achieve our objectives with the goal to center inclusivity and equity institute-wide, striving to create environments where everyone feels valued. My leadership style is innovative and solution-focused, always aiming to drive academic and operational success. I thrive on building strong, collaborative relationships and am driven by a mission to effect positive change in challenging situations.
