Notable Achievements

Recognised as the first executive in the region that built and implemented a previously non-existent in Egypt Portuguese Department for Portuguese Studies, supported by the Portuguese Government, in Aswan University and Ain Shams University.

Directed the overall management and implementation of Portugal’s Cultural Promotion and Educational Plan as well as budgetary projects for Egypt, initiating for the very first time, a partnership with United Arab Emirates, Israel, and Jordan implementing itinerancy, making it financially convenient for the new cluster.

Enhanced Portugal's reputation as an active partner of the European community in the region by having Portugal's educational and cultural programs included in the EUNIC cluster - European Union National Institutes of Culture - of which it was an inactive member. 

Strategically planed and managed the artists and art selection and onboarding processes of the visual arts and exhibitions in the public realm, considering diversity, with a focus on the country’s requirements and laws, establishing a long-term and regular plan of performing arts, cinema, music and exhibitions.

Started a fruitful collaboration with the Education and Culture Section of the notable Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Notable Achievements

Recognised as the first executive to decentralize actions and expand the mission outside the country's capital, initiating creative partnerships with educational organisations in the interior of the country. 

Applied for and obtained the declaration of cultural interest, by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, to the cultural activities of the Embassy of Portugal.

Applied for and obtained accreditation by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires of the professional training programs promoted by the Portuguese government, enabling participating teachers to obtain promotion in their careers. 

Proposed the foundation of the alumni association to consolidate university exchange and scholarship projects. 

Directed the overall management and implementation of Portugal’s Cultural Promotion and Educational Plan as well as budgetary projects for Argentina, initiating for the very first time, a partnership with Uruguai and Chile implementing itinerancy, making it financially convenient for the new cluster.

Established relationships with local sponsors (Banco Piano - the largest Portuguese bank in Argentina) for the co-hiring of internationally renowned Portuguese artists, such as the singer Mariza.

Notable Achievements

Founded and managed in the Camões Centre, the examination associated center of CAPLE (Portuguese acronym): the official European Center of Assessment and Certification of Portuguese as Foreign Language, the only Portuguese entity that evaluates and certifies written and oral skills of Portuguese as a foreign language for different purposes: studies, access to an academic career, work in different activity sectors, acquisition of Portuguese citizenship, etc. 

Successfully executed the transition from the manual registration of students to online applicant registration system. Outcoming less paper consumption and better control over the student’s registration actions. 

Designed a complete scholarship allocation policy that considered several aspects, not only academic qualification, reducing the number of dropouts and failures.  

Proactively identified issues and barriers impeding Staff productivity. Made training needs analysis and conducted Teachers Staff Training and Development.
