𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦…? A number of business owners & leaders I work with when first asked how things are going, often say things like: • “It’s going great, however, I don’t feel that we’re as productive as we could be • "I’m not sure if my team is really happy in their roles and I do not know how to address that with them.” • “I want to know what leadership means to me rather than what people above me saying I should do.” • “I have had recent setbacks, making me wonder if I am right for this role, yet I have no vision of what I want.” • “I am experiencing feelings of imposter syndrome and it is holding me back from making important decisions about my future.” Having difficult conversations with yourself or close team members can be hard. In addition, expressing frustrations and disappointments that you're experiencing in the business can often be a challenge. My role and objective are to give you the opportunity to say the things that you have been thinking about but haven’t been able to fully express. Those expressions through your words are what we will translate into actions to take you and your team beyond your current circumstances. You will get to that place where you can leave at the end of each day knowing that the work being done by you and your team is important and that you are making a profound difference. Work-life balance is often misunderstood and is very personal. There are priorities, along with negotiables and non-negotiables. I have met a number of business owners & leaders who have been spending extra-long hours doing work at the expense of meaningful family and other personal time. This quote from Alexander Kjerulf rings true “Most people chase success at work, thinking that will make them happy.
