I am an experienced psychodynamic therapist based in Bristol. I work with sexual abuse, domestic violence, refugees and asylum seekers, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and childhood trauma and I have specialist training in eating disorders. My bio can be found here: https://bristolcounsellingandpsychotherapy.co.uk/our-team/ I have a team of counsellors working with me from a variety of backgrounds offering both short-term and long-term therapy to those over the age of 10. I am always looking for opportunities to bring therapy to harder-to-reach communities. Our team page can be found here: https://bristolcounsellingandpsychotherapy.co.uk/our-team/ I am passionate about workplace wellbeing and believe that employers should offer a wellbeing programme, workplace counselling and/or peer support/debrief sessions led by a qualified therapeutic facilitator, particularly post-pandemic. More information can be found here: https://bristolcounsellingandpsychotherapy.co.uk/workplace-counselling/ I am currently working on an exciting programme with The Restore Trust to bring free therapy to individuals involved in the criminal justice system. We believe in order to reduce the reoffending rate we need to offer a compassionate and safe space to those who may never have felt able to talk about their own trauma. It is here that true healing can begin. Bristol Counselling and Psychotherapy and The Restore Trust have joined hands to support those with complex needs in relation to homelessness, mental health problems, drug/alcohol dependency, and offending behaviour through a 12-week trauma-informed therapy programme. We are looking for funders and sponsors to support this programme. Please see here for more information: https://bristolcounsellingandpsychotherapy.co.uk/therapy-programme-for-individuals-involved-in-the-criminal-justice-system/
