Founder of AZ Engineering, Elect. Eng. PE, NABCEP, CEM

Has a Bachelor Degree of Electrical Engineering from Colegio de Mayaguez UPR (1992) and a Master in Engineering Management from Polytechnic University (1996).  Started in 1999 started his own electrical engineering design firm, AZ Engineering. He has worked in the design of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
   
His vision led him to received a certification for installation of Photovoltaic System from Florida Energy Center in 2007.  Since then, AZ Engineering has been one of the leading engineering/consulting firms for Solar Systems in PR with over 200+ projects totaling more than 75 MW. Eng. Zayas is certified as a PV Installer by the Government of Puerto Rico State Office of Energy Policy. He is NABCEP certified, Past President of ACONER (Asociación de Consultores y Contratistas de Energía  Renovable de Puerto Rico) and has PE License in Puerto Rico, US Virgin Island, Washington DC, California and Florida.

Eng. Zayas is one of the Instructors for courses in design and installation of PV Systems in Puerto Rico and has had the opportunity to instruct other courses in Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Santo Domingo, Bahamas  and Barbados, countries where AZ Engineering also has been involved in the design/consultant of Electrical and PV Systems.
