Me & Rashmi's 3rd YouTube Channel got deleted yesterday & it's the worst nightmare of any YouTube Creator 🥺

This was a channel that we kept secret, we didn't promote or share on social media, even our closest friends or family didn't know about it! 

Why? Because we wanted to organically grow without promoting anywhere!

We have been making content there consistently for 8 months and 
we're hardly 70-90 days away from being monetized.

But yesterday's mail from YouTube came as an utter shock and surprise that our whole channel was deleted without any prior notice or warning.

We did make YouTube-friendly content there maintaining all the guidelines so we were unable to decipher why such harsh judgment was received from YouTube. 

We made an appeal immediately saying it might be a mistake that we didn't violate any policy or spammed, but it was of no use! 

Now we won't even know what exactly went wrong so that we don't repeat the mistakes.

Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn, but here we didn't even learn why, & yet we lost!

It was a tough day for us yesterday as we worked day in and out to make content on that channel and it was a secret passion project of ours.

Our plan was to not tell anyone in our community about it, scale it organically, monetize it, and then do a big reveal!

All that seems like a thing of the past now and our 8 months of hard work- gone in an instant!

But that's alright- the learning curve we had while running the 3rd channel was exponential and we're implementing all of that in running our other channels

And, I'll soon update more on the things to follow as a budding YouTuber and especially the things to NOT do!

This is nothing but a small hiccup in our whole YouTube journey & we'll only be stronger, better, and wiser from here...

Setbacks come and go, but the vision should be intact!

And we're just getting started, hopefully, after this failure, we will be sharing some better news because there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

And our YouTube Ride was just only begun!

Our 3rd YouTube Channel that got deleted 2 days ago is BACK! 🥳

The last 2 days have been so hard for me & Rashmi as we invested 8 months of our life to build that channel, secretly!

We had 0 Copyright Strikes, made 0 Violations, received 0 Reports (as our videos have close to 95-100% Like ratio)

After our channel was deleted suddenly without any prior warning or notification, we were clueless, shocked, and devastated!

Instantly, we applied for an appeal, and that got rejected a few hours later!

We felt lost, made up our minds that it's gone and we will never get it back...

Then later that night, I made a tweet tagging Team YouTube and they said they would look into it again...

And last night while I was scrolling YouTube with my 2nd account, I suddenly saw my deleted channel's video pop up on my feed and thought it may be a glitch....

After clicking I realized - Oh damn! THE CHANNEL IS BACK! 

Both I & Rashmi were on cloud 9 seeing that our channel (which got deleted for no reason at all) is back with all the videos, subs & views.

It sucks that YouTube (& the bot system) they have in place won't ever understand how devastating and heartbreaking the last 48 hours were!

Rashmi broke down crying incessantly since it was her very own venture and we were hardly 90 days away from monetizing it.

I urge the management team of YouTube to be extra cautious and verify using humans (and not bots) to take such drastic steps, especially for creators with 0 Strikes or Violations, who make YouTube-friendly content.

It's easy for them to send them a generic mail saying "appreciate your patience" but they need to realize creators put months and years of their life into scaling something, and it becomes a part of them!

Their one small step (or misstep) can change the course of many lives, hope they are aware of the consequences.

I would also like to take this moment and thank my friends from the LinkedIn community who were kind enough to text and call us and show their support at our lowest in the last 2 days.

It goes without saying that I'm nothing with the loving and supportive community that I have been lucky enough to build here.

We will never stop creating, with or without YouTube!

The show must go on...
