I left my first internship in 10 days of starting.

At that time, I was in my first year of college.

I rented a studio outside IIT Kharagpur’s campus.

I used to stay in my college hostel, but not anymore.

Because now,

1. I’m taking my agency more seriously.
2. I’m starting my content creation journey.
3. I’m prioritising my mental peace over hostel fun.

I used to live in a triple sharing room where it’s hard to work.

→ I cannot do video meetings there.

→ I cannot work for 10+ Hours there.

→ I cannot shoot video content there.

If something is limiting you to reach your full potential, then change it.

In my case it was my surroundings.

So I completely changed it.

Your Prospect has visited your Profile.

Still you’re not getting Inbound Leads?

See. Waiting for them to message you for their requirements is stupid.

Instead, message them.

If your content is performing decent and is attracting your ICP through it, then you’ve won the half race.

Here’s the step by step guide how to convert those 

1) Search for peeps who recently

→ Viewed your profile

→ Engage on your content

→ Sent you a connection request

These are called intent-based leads.

And these are much warmer than a cold lead.

2) Reach out and say

“Hey NAME - thanks for

[insert what they did]. Are

you just here for the content

or are you looking for help with

[insert the problem that you solve]"

3) Then only one of 3 things will happen...

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭 - They don’t respond

And you forget and move on with your life

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮 - They don’t need help

So you ask what they liked about the content?

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯 - They do need help

You ask 2-4 questions then get on a call

And that’s it...

And trust me, the response rate you get compared to cold leads is insane.

Remember yesterday I told you about the E3C approach?

That’s quite a time taking and more effortful approach.

If you don’t have intent based leads, then you don’t have any choice but to use that approach.

But if you do have intent based leads on a daily basis then follow this approach.

You are running a business,

Really?

If you want to achieve your goal ASAP.
You need to have a plan around it.

Break that plan into daily efforts.
Create a To-Do List of those.
And follow that daily.

It’s as simple as that.

They cannot even do that,

Don’t be that guy.

I make my To-Do lists on a physical diary.
I’ve tried Notion, Trello and tonnes of to-do list apps on Appstore.

Nothing worked for me, but that old school method of noting down on a physical diary.

But don’t copy me.
Do what works for you.
But, follow that religiously.

You won’t be able to do 4/10 Tasks of the day initially.
But that’s completely okay.

Just keep doing it.

Funnels in Cold Emails? Are you joking?

No, I’m not.

Traditional cold email don’t work anymore.
Manual Cold Email → Book a Call → Close 

Do you follow this workflow?

If yes, then it won’t work.

You need a funnel.
Automated Cold Emails/Dm → Lead Magnet → VSL Page → Book a Call → Close

This funnel works like crazy in 2024.

Here's why you're not getting clients from Cold Emailing

I’ve tried Cold Emails for lead gen.

But it didn’t work for me.

I get this response all the time in sales calls.

But people who doubt cold email often says -
Cold emails got me XYZ clients later after working with me.

If you’re in B2B high-ticket, 
And running an online business, 
Then there’s no way Cold Email won’t work for you.

If you’ve tried Cold Emails, Answer these questions -

1. Have you sent 1000 Cold Emails/Day for at least a month?
2. Have you executed all technical Email Deliverability steps?
3. Have you followed a VSL marketing funnel with a lead magnet?

If the answer is “NO”, then DM me “Leads”,

And I will tell you how you can generate 10-30 bookings/month using cold emails.

Your posts may garner 10k impressions, 
But they're wasted if they don't generate leads.

Impressions, likes, and comments matter, but not as much as leads.

I follow the E3C approach on LinkedIn to generate tons of leads for my clients:
E: Engage
C: Connection Message (Personalized)
C: Converse (Build rapport and understand their pain points)
C: Convert (Book a call and close the deal)

This isn't a typical cold outreach approach, but it's better than one. Why? 

Because the leads aren't cold as soon as they receive your connection message. 

They would have already seen you engaging with their content.

The sales closing period for this E3C framework is long, but when it comes to closing those high-ticket deals, it works like magic.

So if you're frustrated about not getting leads from LinkedIn, even though your content might be performing well, you know what to do.

PS - If your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) is already engaging with your content, then don't ever follow this approach! 

The reason is simple.

And these are all high ticket deals.

In fact, Cold Emailing works only if your ticket size is (>$1000). 

The more the deal size, the better ROI you will get.

Cold Email is not for you, if you’re -

1. Selling B2C Product
2. Low Ticket Product/Service (<$500)
3. Unable to invest a minimum of $100 in tools

But if you are in B2B, have a high ticket service and have a minimum of $100 to invest, then I have good news for you.

Finally my 3rd year at the college ended.

And I can proudly say - I’m not at all confused.

I know exactly what I want to do -
after 6 months, 
after 1 year, and 
after 5 years down the line.

No, I’m not gonna sit in my college placement.
Instead, I’m going full-time on my business.

I have a 3 month summer vacation, which I’m gonna spend in New Delhi taking an AirBnB with my friend.

I’m working on tonnes of exciting things.

Like my Youtube channel, Instagram Page, Paid Ads, courses and much more.
I’m continuously investing in courses and paid communities.
And I’m realising the value of growth investing.

If I was somehow able to talk to my 1 year past self.

I would tell him 1 thing -
“Anirudh, remember don’t worry about saving money rn, just invest in courses, cohorts.”

So now that being said.
What would you say to your 1 year old self?

Closing sales entirely in DMs is not feasible.

It takes too much manual efforts and time.

If it was 2015, I would have recommended that.
But 2024 is all about building digital leverage.

Adapt the technology.

In order to do that, create an Ebook(covering your solution in brief) and a VSL Funnel.

Once you’ve made the two,

You’re ready to close Leads in DMs.

Here’s how you can build leverage to close sales in DMs in a much more efficient way.

Discover leads through -

1. Profile Visits
2. LinkedIn Groups
3. Your Connections
4. LinkedIn Events
5. Job Posting

Then, strike off a conversation with them.

Build Rapport with exchanging 2-3 messages.

Now ask about their challenges and pain areas(that you serve)

If they face that pain point.

Send them the ebook.

After signing for Ebook they will redirect to the VSL funnel.

A percentage of them will convert and book a sales meeting with you.

And the best part?

These people are already nurtured enough.
These people are qualified enough.
These people already know you.

So the closing rate would be easily 50%+ if you follow a decent sales process.
