Your skills don't matter if no one knows your name.

Your LinkedIn About section is a sales page, not a resume. 

Here's the difference.

People visit your profile, read your About section, and leave without taking action. You're getting views but zero inquiries.

One platform, fully mastered, beats five platforms half-assed.

You're posting on LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.

Why spreading yourself thin fails:
Each platform has different algorithms, content formats, and audience behaviors. You can't master five things at once.

The better strategy: 

Pick ONE platform where your buyers actually are. 
Post consistently, engage deeply, learn that algorithm inside and out. Master it completely.

I ignored every "post everywhere" guru. I focused only on LinkedIn for the last year.

Posted 6x per week, engaged daily.

Now I have 20K followers and a business built on one platform.

I'm doing it again with Substack. 
Maintaining LinkedIn and going deep on Substack. 

One at a time.

Stop trying to be everywhere. 
Start dominating somewhere.

One platform mastered beats five platforms half-assed.

The more valuable insights you give away for free, the more people want to pay you.

The scarcity mindset: "If I share my best insights, no one will hire me." 
This thinking keeps you invisible and broke.

What actually happens when you share freely: 
You demonstrate expertise publicly, people see you know what you're talking about, trust builds before they ever talk to you.

Your free content proves you're worth the investment. 

Teaching builds trust. Trust enables sales.

Your knowledge loses value when you hoard it. 

It gains value when you share it.

The more you give for free the more people want to pay you

I've made $500K on YouTube. 

But first, I posted daily for 8 months without making a dollar.

(Also, this was a channel that had nothing to do with me personally, so no need to go down a rabbit hole trying to find it.)

Everyone wants the result. But no one wants to do the work before the payoff.

I posted every single day for 8 months. 

Zero revenue. Zero traction. Just showing up consistently with no immediate return. 

Most people would have quit.

Month 9: First dollar earned. 

Month 12: Momentum building. 

Year 2: $500K total revenue.

This applies to LinkedIn too. 

You post for 3 weeks and get discouraged. You quit before the algorithm even learns who your audience is.

There's a gap between starting and earning. That gap is where most people give up.

8 months felt like forever. But it was the price of admission for $500K. 

If you're not willing to lose for a little while, you're never going to win.

I've made $500K on YouTube. 

AI writes like a B student with no personality. 
Here's how to make it sound like an A+ writer.

AI content is technically correct but boring. 

Hits all the points but has no personality. Safe, generic, forgettable.

What AI gets wrong: Overuses transitions, no strong opinions, explains everything, sounds like it's trying to please everyone.

AI gives you B student work. 

Your editing makes it A+ content.

AI writes like a B student with no personality. 

Your career path doesn't have to make sense to other people.

Here's mine: 
Actor → YouTuber → Copywriter → Business Strategist 
(with a handful of failed businesses in between).

That isn't a broken path. It's an evolved one. 

Each pivot taught me something the previous version couldn't.
People think non-linear paths mean you couldn't commit. 

Actually, it means you weren't afraid to pivot when something wasn't working. 

You learned transferable skills across industries. You built resilience through reinvention.

Each career wasn't wasted time. It was building your unique skill stack. 

Your unconventional path is what makes you interesting.

Stop apologizing for your journey. Start leveraging it.

Your career path doesn't have to make sense

Same service. Different positioning. Completely different results.

Before: "LinkedIn Ghostwriter and Copywriter" 

After: "I help Founders & CEOs grow their personal brands: LinkedIn Ghostwriting & Management"

The first version told people WHAT I do but not who I help, what problem I solve, or why they should care. 
Generic = invisible.

The second version works because it has a clear target audience (Founders & CEOs), clear outcome (grow their personal brands), and clear method (LinkedIn Ghostwriting & Management). 
Specific = magnetic.

After I changed it: 
Random inquiries became qualified inquiries from Founders and CEOs. 

Generic positioning makes you compete on price. 

Specific positioning makes you compete on fit.

I changed 1 sentence in my positioning & inquiries tripled
