The world is changing at a record pace. New technologies are emerging every day, and these technologies are going to change the world as we know it. With that in mind, and after some serious soul-searching, I am embarking on a new career path in Information Technology. I have truly enjoyed learning Information Technology at UMASS - Lowell and can't wait to break into the tech realm. Learning how to program in several languages (Java, C, Python) and seeing how programs interact from the backend side of software development versus being an end-user has been a life-changing experience! The reason for this change? I have worked in healthcare (with some time spent in veterinary care) for quite some time. As you can imagine, I want to help people (it's in my DNA...). My mission now is to do that by helping to create software that can reach hundreds of thousands of people...maybe even millions of people! If there is one thing I've learned in my time in laboratory operations, everything I do has an impact on people's lives. My goal now is to do it on a much larger scale. Pretty ambitious, isn't it? =)
