As a business event and tourism professional with European and Canadian expertise, I am a guide, compelled to learn and share knowledge, bringing the best out in people. Here's how I do it. I CONNECT DOTS, my superpower as a dyslexic thinker. With a big-picture map in hand and a library of diverse experiences to draw on, I strategically and expertly plot courses, linking together information, people, and backgrounds (aka dots) to navigate the way. Whether it's finding the perfect new Tech Start-up to connect to an association event planner; or highlighting an award-winning innovation to the CEO of a new corporate event lead, I've connected many dots, which in turn have sparked great collaborations and legacies. I SEE THINGS OTHERS DON'T (no, not ghosts) I'm a keen observer of life with an astute interest in people, cultures, and what makes others tick. I recognize (often undiscovered) talent, skills and knowledge in people. These observations add to my 'dot library' and, coupled with my always one-step-ahead approach, enable me to unlock business solutions often before others or in new and unique ways. I'M HARDWIRED TO ACHIEVE; it's in my DNA Thanks to some great genes, I'm a driven achiever, my energy creates momentum, and my strong sense of responsibility ensures I always deliver on my commitments. I embrace the challenge of complex and dynamic environments, and I thrive when I can use my arranger talents and introduce 'What if' thinking to any situation. I AM PEOPLE-CENTRIC At my core, I am an empathetic leader. I'm sensitive to the feelings of others and can gauge emotion in a room instinctively. Acting with kindness is always my aim, and trust is paramount. Witnessing happiness in others is my greatest pleasure. I 'STAY CALM AND LEAD ON' My heartbeat is often the calmest in the room, and spoken communication is my superpower, but you won't hear me speak for the sake of talking. It will be considered thoughtful and passionate. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I KNOW WHAT CONNECTS PEOPLE – food! I love to cook, bake, dance, read, follow fashion, ski, cycle and learn about new places and cultures. Eating chocolate is my daily guilty pleasure – preferably dark with mint or orange variations.
