As the CEO of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, I lead our organization toward a big, bold vision: a future in which veterans and their families are thriving in every American community. Here’s how I’ve activated our ecosystem: • Breaking out of the veteran philanthropy silo, building bridges, forging innovative partnerships, and collaborating across sectors • Fully embracing the changes reshaping the business world today, and adapting best practices from all sectors to support the veterans of today and tomorrow • Building an insight engine to surface innovations and best practices from more than 100 local partners representing thousands of orgs serving veterans • Leveraging data and scientific evidence to identify, invest in, and solve the most pressing issues facing veterans • Convening top minds and diverse stakeholders (including veterans and their families) to tackle the intractable and systemic problems our veterans still face • Using the power of storytelling—sharing Bob Woodruff’s own inspiring story and amplifying veterans’ voices—to mobilize champions for our cause I’ve also built a remarkable interdisciplinary team, dedicated to rigorous due diligence, proven impact, and powerful partnerships. Together, we have positioned the Bob Woodruff Foundation as a trusted partner among philanthropists, veterans, and their supporters. Since our founding, we’ve stewarded more than $80,000,000 in investments using our unique “Find, Fund, and Shape” approach.
