• During MBA, identified a gap in the marketplace for professionals to give their business clothes a second life and someone else a second chance — founding a 501(c)(3) organization to collaborate with nonprofit groups and government agencies to support job seekers entering the workforce.

• Created an innovative first-of-its-kind approach for sourcing much-needed interview clothing via clothing drives, corporate & retail donations, and drop-off networks — enabling the stocking of closets at approved recipient agencies for direct distribution to their clients.

• End-to-end lead for all business operations, donations, and fundraising — recruiting the board, hiring a small support team, building the collection & distribution network, and developing key relationships with a variety of corporations, brands, and retail partners.

• Steered Clothes The Deal from a garage startup into and through rapid growth — cultivating a valuable & beloved community-supporting organization and annually serving tens of thousands of job seekers across Southern California.

• After six successful years of giving 1000% to the endeavor, decided to focus on the new mission of building an amazing family — setting the business up for long-term success and positioning for a voluntary exit in 2000. Clothes The Deal still remains in operation to this day.
