This is possible due to my diverse experience as a curious student, focused researcher, experienced leader, and extracurricular enthusiast. How? I like to frame it using these 5 pillars : 🟪 Academia : I am a Master of Science in Bioinformatics student at The University of Edinburgh, where I am growing my theoretical and practical knowledge. Previously, I have successfully completed my Bachelor of Technology in Bioinformatics degree from Amity University Uttar Pradesh, with a Gold Medal Award in Academics for ranking 1st in class. 🟪 Research : I have experience in scientific research and writing through several analysis and literature-based projects, working with transcriptomic and metabolomic data and related studies. My current research interests are in the application of my bioinformatics in the field of aquaculture to advance understanding of disease mechanisms. 🟪 Industry : As a Bioinformatics Trainee and Intern, I gained important practical experience at TCG Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. I have developed skills like designing and developing genomic and transcriptomic pipelines, working with biological databases, performing Python-based data analysis, and more. 🟪 Leadership : With previous experience as President of Bioinformatics Club for 2 years and Class Representative at Amity University, I am carrying this forward as Co-President and Co-Founder of BITSoc, and Programme Representative at The University of Edinburgh. Taking initiative and leading through example have played a key part in building my personality. I have grown my public speaking, people and team management, and event organisation skills. 🟪 Extracurricular : From participating, organising and securing positions in 50+ scientific events and workshops, to social involvements, going beyond the bare minimum has helped me to stand out and ensured my holistic growth.
