Managing Director and Chief Client Officer on Samsung

Responsibility for all agency operations Locally and Globally. 7 consecutive years of commercial growth and currently managing a P&L of 65 people in London.

In that time, I've overseen the development and activation of integrated marketing comms to launch and sustain products across Mobiles, Tablets, Wearables, Audio, TV and Home Appliances, as well as service and support propositions for mobile payment solutions, health and wellbeing monitoring and smart tech. Leveraging a blend of Paid, Owned, Earned and Shared channels to increase awareness and market share. Improving brand affinity and advocacy through CSR initiatives and platforms rooted in education and sustainability.

Highlights include; Getting Thierry Henry to reassure people it’s okay to buy a big TV to watch the FIFA 2018 World Cup; Producing ‘The Domestics’ comedy series with Katherine Ryan and Joel Dommett to drive awareness of Home Appliances; Creating a 4d VR experience with NASA and Framestore to simulate what it would be like to walk on the moon; Putting on the world’s first vertical gig and launching the Samsung KX showcase space; Establishing an educational CSR program (‘Not a School’) to teach 18 – 25 year olds the things that technology can’t.

In the last few years my focus has also been on integrating agency specialisms to enhance the end-to-end customer journey. Combining data and performance marketing to deliver timely and relevant digital content and messages, as well as personalised digital experiences that will increase conversion rate, loyalty and lifetime value. Leveraging the role of partnerships and bringing multiple divisional stakeholders together to ensure a joined up and valuable consumer experience.

Learnt the ropes and rose through the ranks helping Sony Ericsson break 6 Guinness World Records with a ‘Gig In The Sky’ and defining the Global strategy and comms assets to support their Sponsorship of the FIFA 2010 World Cup. 

After a few months working in Amsterdam to help set up a new office, I then spent a few years launching every model in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles range including the first brand TVC for 5 years featuring the Iconic VW Camper and pulling down a Chimney stack with VW’s first ever pick-up truck, all of which moved them from fourth to second in the commercial vehicles category. 

Following this, I looked after a portfolio of clients where I launched a new brand platform for Speedo (‘Get Speedo Fit’) as well as their elite swimwear concept used at London 2012, leveraged digital innovation as part of promotional and retail activity for Unilever (PG Tips, Sure, Magnum and Marmite) and Nestle (Kit Kat, Nescafé and Rowntrees), before developing a new category positioning and integrated brand comms for the pan-European launch of Parrot Bay frozen cocktails for Diageo.
