As a Multi-Line Insurance Claim Adjuster my role involved handling an inventory of 130-150 files in the following jurisdictions; Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah.  

My focus was: Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability Commercial Property and Inland Marine Claims. Handle both litigated and non-litigated claims.

Reviewed, analyzed, and interpreted insurance policy conditions, exclusions, and endorsements to resolve coverage and liability issues for all lines of business. Prepared reservation of rights letters, non-waiver agreements, and coverage disclaimers to address claim coverage issues. 

Evaluated claim reserves, including periodically evaluating the claim to ensure the reserves properly reflect the potential exposure. Investigated claims to evaluate coverage and legal issues; policyholders and witness meetings; claimant and witness statements; medical records; retains field experts and counsel along with other information relevant to the respective claim; overall evaluation of each claim, potential liability and damages, and the Company's negotiating posture for settlement purposes. Provided documentation of investigation, company reports, and claims activities for files.

•	 Determined settlement amounts, through negotiating and conveying claim settlements within authority limits to insureds and claimants. Referred claims beyond authority as appropriate based on exposure and established guidelines to appropriate supervisor or claim professional.

•	Wrote denial letters to all involved parties when appropriate in dealing with claims not covered by insured policy.

My role as Retail Production Manager involved training, planning, evaluating, and delegating responsibilities to 25 employees in a for-profit thrift retail business.

•	 Scheduled employees based on labor hours allotted per profit and loss statement each month

•	Ensured production employees exceeded daily processing goals through cross-training and promoting high potential candidates.

•	Assisted in interviewing, hiring, and training of both front and back of house employees in accordance with company guidelines. 

•	Negotiated with a local recycling company to pick up cardboard waste in exchange for income for the store which also reduced the overall trash expense on the profit and loss statement.
