My AI stack for SEO right now ⚙️ 🤖 🔑 



Here's the exact AI tool stack I use right now for SEO:

1) Claude and Claude Code

I use Claude for creating custom projects, mainly for SEO insights and analysis and scripting (mostly Python scripts for SEO stuff).

I also use Claude Code for MCP agent workflows.

MCPs I use right now:

  - Firecrawl: All types of scraping.
  - DataForSEO: Query research, URL analysis, SERP analysis and other SEO tasks.

2) Cursor

Cursor is basically my "IDE" for working with Claude Code.

3) ChatGPT

As the most used LLM, I use it for AI search insights (Deep Research refinements, web search citations etc).

I also run AI search experiments and of course I occasional use it for insights as well.

4) AirOps

I use AirOps for SEO AI workflows.

That's it.

That's basically my whole "SEO AI stack".

I find it more than enough to do what I want to do and enhance or streamline my SEO processes.

At least for now.

Key SaaS SEO tip for AI search (if you want to get mentioned by AI)



AI maps specific product traits and capabilities to user types.

Which means:

If someone prompts/queries the AI to recommend "email marketing tools for agencies" and your SaaS doesn't have specific traits it might not be mentioned by AI.

For example:

"white labelling" or "reporting" might be key agency user type traits.

Thus, if your email marketing SaaS doesn't have a "white label" feature:

AI might not "think" it's the best for agencies.

This is one of the many things we talked about with Nik V. and Sara Taher, when they invited me over to their SEO podcast to discuss AI search.

Powerful SaaS SEO tip for AI search (AI mode) 🤖 🔎 ☁️



AI Mode is here.

So, I've ran some SaaS-related tests yesterday.

Here's a useful tip for SaaS companies:

First of all:

When AI Mode receives a user query, it generates different synthetic queries from that initial query.

In this post, I want to focus on "alternatives" queries, which are key SaaS money-makers.

So, for "alternatives" queries, AI Mode seems to also generate "product vs product" queries.

You can clearly see this in the screenshot below.

This is something I had also noticed in reasoning models and Deep Research as well.

As, they were using their pre-training data of products to form comparative queries.

For example:

If a user asks "What is the best alternative to {X}", AI Mode will also fire up queries comparing this to competitors. Like "{X} vs {Y}".

So, what can SaaS companies do?

Think in clusters.

When creating an "alternatives" page, make sure to also create relevant "vs" pages around this product and your own.

If for example, you don't compare your own SaaS to a competitor, you might losing mentions and citations (mentions are better imo) in the AI output.

There are many plays here btw.

But in general, think in query groups and clusters, not standalone queries.

Google is "funneling" users down into AI Mode ⬇️ 



Google has placed a CTA where users can "Dive deeper" into their query with AI Mode.

I feel like Google wants to push AI Mode.

What does this CTA mean for websites ranking on the SERP?

A possible click reduction.

Users could read the AIO response and then, click on a cited website or go down and visit a blue link.

Now, they can "dive deeper" by pressing this CTA.

To be honest though, I still believe bottom-line driving queries will still keep on making businesses money.

Will this CTA be temporary until AI Mode sees more user adoption?

I don't know.

I think we will see quite the tests and SERP charges moving forward.

My approach is still the same though:

Focus on the bottom-line.

Losing clicks doesn't hurt if you're building the right touch-points for your users to buy or sign-up.

Your SaaS doesn't need a complex SEO strategy



Many SaaS companies think they have to go "out of the box" with their strategy to see good results.

At the same time, they don't have the fundamentals nailed down.

- Have you covered all BoFu queries like "alternatives", "software" ,"vs" etc

- Have you mapped your ICP's paint points and needs to queries likes feature relevant "how-tos" and JTDB topics?

- Have you build topic clusters around your key topical theme?

Etc.

I've driven millions in SaaS sign-ups by doing the above really well.

Also, just because many SaaS companies have a specific approach, doesn't mean they also do it as good as possible 😉

SaaS SEO and AI search, I've said it many times, will say it again 👇 



Synthetic queries, the index's "sensitivity" to the synthetic queries and the SaaS product's dominant attribute and use-case specific traits are EXTREMELY important for getting mentioned by AI.

No matter how many Reddit posts you spam or how much you research if "schema helps in AI search", if you don't understand SERP sensitivity to potential prompts and synthetic queries, your SaaS will lose mentions.

Let me explain using the example below:

So, I asked ChatGPT "What are the best SEO tools for freelance SEO consultants?"

It fired up web search, which means, it fired up synthetic queries.

You don't necessarily need to know these queries. It'd be good, but, what you should pay attention to are:

- The sources cited

- The key attribute/product traits for your use case/user type

So, for freelance SEOs, pricing is the dominant attribute/trait as it's common both in the AI output as "explanation of the mention" and in the source's titles/angles.

Also, ChatGPT seemed to have fired up "best seo tools for freelancers" or similar synthetic queries.

Which, based on the sources, seem to have a unique SERP/index.

I won't make things more complicated.

Just keep these in mind:

- If your pages appear for the augmented/modified queries

and

- If your SaaS has the key attribute/key traits based on the user's modifier (for freelancers, for agencies, with reporting capabilities etc)...

....then AI is highly likely to recommend your product.

Plus, if your SaaS is mentioned frequently in the top parsed pages and it's also in the AI's pre-training data, then chances are increased.

I'm thinking of preparing a very detailed article about SaaS SEO and AI search that will explain all these in much detail.

Until then, keep those in mind and you'll do better than many SaaS companies that "trying to decode GEO".

Many people oversimplify AI search for SaaS

"Post on Reddit about your product"

"Create more listicles"

"Get mentions in industry publications"

Etc.

These can help, but if you don't understand synthetic queries, SERP similarity and query-to-user matching, you won't do well in AI search.

No matter how many Reddit posts you'll spam about your SaaS.

Bold statement?

Maybe, but this is how I drove sign-ups and leads from AI outputs.

SaaS SEO tip for better BoFu pages 💰 



I've seen many BoFu pages that are full of fluff or generic copy both users and bots hate.

If your BoFu pages don't have the right info:

- They won't rank or get cited in search

- Users might not feel compelled to try your SaaS product

Bad scenarios, right?

So, here's a tip to get info that's both relevant and valuable:

Check your competitors cons on G2.

For example:

If you are creating a page about "{competitor} alternatives", you can

- Go to this competitor's G2 profile page
- Go to Reviews

From there, you can go "View All Pros and Cons" and you'll get a summary of the key cons of that competing SaaS based on user reviews.

That way, you'll mention key user pain points in your content (alongside other key info, of course).

Cool right? 😉

Is this the biggest news for organic search this month? 🗞️ 



ChatGPT announced the Apps SDK.

Which means:

You'll now be able to deploy fully functional apps inside ChatGPT.

These are apps ChatGPT will serve to users for specific use cases.

What does that mean for SEO and AI search?

App deployment can now be part of your search strategy.

You can either deploy your product inside ChatGPT or create mini apps for specific use cases.

The big question is:

How will ChatGPT invoke these apps and when?

Let's see...things are getting super interesting!

SaaS companies might not get max value from SEO cause of wrong CTAs



For example:

They might push visitors to convert with a free trial on a fully ToFu informational page.

This won't likely happen.

Correct CTA usage is even more important now with AI, cause as clicks are reduced, it's important to get the maximum benefit from visits.

And as a result, getting leads, not only clicks.

Here are some CTA examples for some key SaaS website page types:

BoFu pages (alternatives, software, vs etc) CTA examples 💵 

- Sign-up for free

- Book a demo

- Contact sales

- Try a free {X} days trial

Info pages (what, when, how etc) CTA examples 📚 

- Subscribe to newsletter

- Explore more content (funnel user down)

- Download (guide, ebook, etc)

- Sign-up for free (Only for feature-relevant "how to" queries)

JTDB pages (templates, checklists, tools etc) CTA examples 🛠️ 

- Sign-up (to get full benefit, very good for "freemium tool" pages)

- Download (the template, checklist etc)

Matching the right CTA to the right page type is very important.

Remember:

Getting the click is one thing, making that visitor do something is another.
