Excited to make Perplexity's Comet browser generally available to all. No more gating behind a paywall or a waitlist. 

Comet first launched on July 9, with a waitlist of 460,000 users; and the waitlist quickly grew to millions.

It's been incredible to see how users adopted Comet and started asking questions that they could never ask anywhere else. That's what a truly personal AI with browsing and agent capabilities enables. 

The mobile version is going to come in the next few weeks! We're excited about our roadmap ahead, and proud of how fast we've been able to make it available to all.

Perplexity is now an in-built default search option for all Firefox users. We look forward to working closely with Mozilla on a lot more things in the near future.

Perplexity was founded to re-imagine how people search for information online.   In order to serve accurate answers and build reliable agents, we need a fast accurate high-quality web index.

We have been at it for the last two years. And are excited to now open up the Perplexity Search API (with hundreds of billions of web pages and counting) to all developers worldwide.

The Perplexity Search API is the fastest and most accurate source of truth to help ground an AI chatbot or an agent. With Bing API no longer available and enormously expensive, someone else needs to come help support the ecosystem, and we're excited to do that.
