I help CEOs supercharge their software engineering teams to deliver software faster. I’ve built commercial software since I was 14. I built an e-commerce platform that kick-started my company in 2006. I kept that customer until I sold my business in 2021. I then created a proxy server solution (using Squidcache) at 16 to manage the internet for teachers at high school, including reporting and dashboarding of the piped in log files. I'm a natural problem solver who seeks out a challenge. I'm an experienced software engineer of 20+, a manager for 15+ years. I love supporting engineers and product teams to bring ideas to market, or deliver features faster. I help software engineers find their happy place at work by aligning their work with their skills and passions. My secret sauce is assisting others in identifying their strengths and bringing them to the game. I quickly build rapport with engineers due to my depth of knowledge, but I happily admit my shortcomings and surround myself with a competent team to support my development areas. Autonomy, learning and development, and serving others are high on my list of values. As an experienced manager, including manager of engineers and manager of managers, I help my team navigate their career growth and the challenges they'll face as they move up the ranks. Thinking strategically is second nature to me. I've worked with teams in multiple time zones and remotely for over a decade. Building rapport remotely and keeping a company culture alive in remote-first environments is always top of mind.
