Director of Sales - SMB

At the beginning of 2021 (February) I was promoted to Sales Manager, tasked with managing our full sales cycle AE's. My responsibilities ranged from helping the reps manage their deals, have consistently clean pipelines with accurate forecasting, as well as coaching the reps to improve sales skills at all levels of the sales cycle. I also supported the SDR Lead in their efforts to work collaboratively with opportunities they create.

Sales Manager

At the beginning of 2020, my role of Account Executive expanded to also include Team Lead, where I was asked to manage a team of AE's and SDR's. Using my experience, success, and passion in the AE role, some of the responsibilities now include running team meetings, team training sessions, one on one coaching sessions, reviewing pipelines and more, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. In addition to continuing to achieve personal quotas, I am tasked with the responsibility of ensuring my team achieves and exceeds our collective targets.

Team Lead - Account Executive

The Account Executive role at TrackTik had me initially overseeing the Southwest United States region and now managing California alone, working specifically with small to medium-sized security firms. Speaking with Operations Managers, CEO's, CFO's and Back Office Administrators, my duties include qualifying clients, introducing TrackTik in the form of a demo, and making a proposal for the solution. Opportunities come from a couple of avenues, mainly through cold prospecting, but also through marketing efforts (inbound, about 20%). The AE role also includes travel within my territory to meet with clients face to face through scheduled meetings, association meetings (with multiple clients), and security-specific conferences.

As a CAB member, I've teamed up part-time with other SaaS professionals to help drive relevant and valuable content to the greater FoSaaS community.

Board Member - Customer Advisory Board

My role at ADP challenged me to exceed an annual quota, by managing and developing a territory including Ottawa, Ontario and the West Island region of Montreal. Sales commitments were forecasted on a weekly basis based on proposals sent and verbal commitments from clients. Working directly with my partners from Financial Institutions, which include Business Account Managers, Branch Managers, Financial Planners, CSR's and more, my goal was to present and sell Business Solutions, specifically in the Human Capital Management (HCM) realm, to their Commercial Clients. On top of working with my partners' clients, I set out to find opportunities through prospecting 'non-partner clients', who were not directly referred to ADP. Presentations and demos on our solution offerings were completed remote and in-person to both prospects and partners. Other tasks included coaching partners on how to identify clients, as well as working with our internal Implementation Team to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding for clients.

District Manager - Small Business Solutions

At the beginning of 2015, my role shifted to full-time sales and business development. I was successfully able to open multiple full-price doors in our home province as well as neighboring provinces in Canada. Qualified US retailers were also successfully pursued on top of continuing to manage all inbound accounts on a day-to-day basis.

This role also included attending B2B Trade Shows with the VP and CEO, being responsible for in-booth appointments at attended shows and post-show follow-up with all prospects met.

Sales Representative

After managing the warehouse and performing administrative work for over a year, I was promoted to Sales Representative and Trade Show Manager in 2014.

My previous experience in sales allowed me to successfully take on managing current accounts and opening new accounts through inbound leads. This allowed me to fully understand the product and the world of retail sales.

With the goal of increasing brand exposure, on top of sales, I was given the opportunity to present B2C and B2B Trade Shows to the VP, CFO and CEO, select the best fitting ones and plan them altogether. Staying within my proposed budget, this role demanded sharp negotiating skills and strong organization skills to stay on time.

Balancing these two positions involved an immense amount of discipline and time-management skills.
