As a finance and accounting professional, I oversaw all aspects of finance and accounting functions, including financial accounting, management accounting, and financial controls. I was responsible for owning the company's financial model, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.

My key responsibilities included the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, reviews, and forecasts, as well as the preparation of consolidated annual reports and group packs for the Regional Finance Director. I also played a key role in driving greater adoption of BI and reporting tools to automate reporting and develop better leading business indicators. I was responsible for monitoring and managing the Forex Derivative Segment cash flow and investing surplus funds in various financial instruments, including mutual funds, CDs/NCDs/Bonds, and fixed deposits with banks. I ensured that surplus funds were invested in a timely manner to maximize returns while maintaining adequate liquidity.

In addition, I was responsible for the front and back-office operations, liaising with the post-trade department, brokers, fund houses, and corporate clients. I prepared daily cash flow, fund flow, and MIS reports, as well as verified investment registers and reconciled the same with statements received from mutual funds. I also generated monthly MIS reports to provide a comprehensive overview of transactions and income earned.

I was accountable for managing the company's operating budget, reviewing and reconciling accounts, and assisting with quarterly projections and annual budget preparation. I created reports to closely track budget trends and expenses for various group companies, analyzed the data, and provided insights to management. As a member of the internal audit team, I played a key role in ensuring financial accountability and accuracy

I was also tasked with ensuring 100% compliance with all statutory requirements, such as TDS and service tax. Additionally, I was responsible for the preparation of monthly management information systems (MIS) reports for the CEO and conducting pre-internal audits for all transactions.

I was responsible for the finalization of the books of accounts and independently liaising with both the internal audit team and the statutory auditors. Additionally, I performed finance, planning, and analysis of branch performance and treasury management, and represented the company before the taxation authority in matters related to direct taxation.
