Having been a marketing professional for over 30 years, I have expertise in multiple aspects of marketing strategy. My depth of varied experience has given me hands-on understanding with a variety of consumers within the financial services industry – in both India as well as Asia-Pacific regional marketing roles at multiple Fortune 500 Companies (American Express, GE Capital, VISA International) and smaller companies (Contract Direct, Fair Isaac Global and NIIT). Through these professional experiences, I have launched multiple financial products successfully and effectively by focusing on not just the launch itself, but also pre-launch activities and the post-launch experience. After a successful professional career, I chose to relive my college days and return for my Ph.D., where I researched Consumer Behavior and the factors that motivate purchase decisions. I now share knowledge with undergraduate and masters students at the University of Nebraska-Omaha as an Assistant Professor. I’m passionate about educational equality, promoting cutting edge marketing techniques, and supporting applied learning. I enjoy mentoring students and professionals, as well as sharing my expertise via speaking engagements at universities, businesses and conferences.
