Gurus often says “Share everything you know”

Their logic behind this:

“People will think if their free stuff is that valuable, their paid stuff would be insane.”

Again this is an employee mindset.

Sorry, but yes it is…

Why?

In business, there is always a monopoly.

How can any business survive or grow if it shares all its secrets?

If I found some way to help my clients better than my competitors and at the same time if I share the whole process online, would it make sense?

Ahh….?!?!?

Gurus have some different goals.

Maybe they want to become a public figure, mentor, speaker, etc…

That’s why they are sharing this advice.

But businesses don’t work that way.

Businesses share insights.
Businesses share case studies.
Businesses share their client wins.
Businesses share how they are the best.
Businesses share their value proposition.
Businesses share why you should trust them.

If you are doing the same things like 99% then think again.

Escape from this trap fast.

I’ve analyzed 100 viral posts on LinkedIn.

And found 1 silly similarity in their every hook.

People are complicating it.

Let me make it easy for you:

First thing first:

❌ Bad hook with good post is useless.
❌ Good hook with bad post is also useless.

✅ You need a good hook with a good post.

Suppose you’ve made a good post.

Now, you want to decide on the hook.

You need 1 ingredient for it.

“𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐂𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄”

You can shock your audience by revealing the climax of your post with a twist.

For Example:

❌ “Recently, I visited 5 countries for my event”
✅ “5 countries in 10 days. All thanks to LinkedIn.”

You need to:

• Create curiosity.
• Shock your audience.
• Inspire them with your win.
• Tell them something big/rare.
• Touch their pain point or problem.


I recently used the below hook for my client and it has generated 19,074 impressions and 258 likes for him.

“𝐼 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑀𝑎𝑦 9𝑡ℎ, 2010.
(𝐺𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑢𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑚𝑦 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙 𝑈𝑁𝐶-𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑙 𝐻𝑖𝑙𝑙!)”

As you can see in the above hook, I’ve used the same ingredients that I shared above.

- Shocking
- Curiosity
- Inspiring
- Something Big
