Greetings 👋, I'm Asad Shakeel, a full-stack engineer with an overall 5 years of experience. Below are the details about my background and skills. I've done my graduation 🎓 from PUCIT in 2018 in software engineering during which I participated in various programming competitions 👨‍💻 and was the winner 🏆 of the Android app development competition. I started my professional journey as a software developer, working on the Java ☕ stack. My first project was on monolithic Java and the Spring boot app that used Postgres as the database. Later on which we converted it into microservices. Here we used RabbitMQ 🐇 as the messaging queue for asynchronous communication (pub-sub) across the services and REST APIs as the synchronous communication. Here I got a chance to work on Angular as well. Then I switched to another project using the WSO2 as the identity server and here we (team of 2) integrated the medical 🏥 EHR systems, EPIC and Cerner. On the front end, I worked on AngularJS. My next project was a specialization of health care open-source 📜 project that integrates with the keycloak OAuth identity server using the, again, medical EHR. Here comes the twist, I switched to a whole new tech stack using Node.js with AWS (Amazon Web services) cloud ☁ serverless architecture using various services including lambda functions, SQS, SNS, IAM, cloud formation and API gateway etc. This was a medical social media platform using Angular on the front end. I've also fixed some Python 🐍 scripts that were integrated with MongoDB. The scripts were used to generate reports on bulk data for weekly, monthly, and yearly durations. The next project was on core Java in the telecommunications 🗼 domain. I was part of one of the projects from the distributed systems but along the way, I helped other teams in my spare time. This project was built on a custom workflow framework, for every step, some actions were executed. I also got a chance to help my friend with some issues/features on the Shopify store. First I learned the Liquid language for the Shopify 🏪 front end then helped him build 2 to 3 pages for the store. Here comes a big change 📈 in my career, I started working on Nest.js, React.js, Next.js, Apollo, GraphQL and PostgreSQL and learned some of these new technologies on the go. This gave my career goosebumps 🚀 and now I'm ready to tackle new challenges and open to work. Other techs I've used: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, JIRA, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, SCRUM and Agile methodologies etc.
