گاهی عشق نیست، فقط عادتِ حضورِ کسی‌ست که دیگر دلش با تو نیست…
اما تو هنوز کنار اویی، با امیدی که هر روز کم‌رنگ‌تر می‌شود.



۱. سکوتش سنگین است.
نه از آرامش، که از بی‌میلی.
وقتی تو حرف می‌زنی، نگاهش در جایی گم می‌شود که تو نیستی.



۲. بعدِ هر دلخوری، تویی که بازمی‌گردی.

۵. قرارها مدام عقب می‌افتند.
می‌گوید گرفتار است، خسته است، وقت ندارد.
اما برای هر چیز دیگری وقت دارد — جز تو.



۶. هیچ‌وقت آغازگر نیست.
تو همیشه پیام می‌دهی، تو همیشه می‌پرسی، تو همیشه منتظری.
و او فقط «پاسخ می‌دهد»، نه «پاسخگو» باشد.



۷. گوش نمی‌دهد.
حرف می‌زنی، اما صدایت در ذهنش پژواک ندارد.
کسی که تو را دوست دارد، به لبخندت گوش می‌دهد؛
نه فقط به واژه‌هایت.



۸. از آینده که می‌گوید، تو در آن نیستی.
همهٔ رؤیاهایش یک‌نفره‌اند.
و تو هنوز امیدوار به جایی که هیچ صندلی برایت نگذاشته.



۹. در جمع، نگاهش از تو عبور می‌کند.
لبخند می‌زند، اما نه به تو.
محبتی که در خلوت است و در حضور دیگران محو،
شبیه نوری‌ست که خودش از تاریکی می‌ترسد.



۱۰. احساسات خودش را گردن تو می‌اندازد.
می‌گوید تو زیادی حساسی، زیادی می‌خواهی، زیادی انتظارداری.
و این‌گونه، کم‌محبتی‌اش را پشت نقابِ «منطقی بودن» پنهان می‌کند.



۱۱. از شناختِ درونت می‌ترسد.
نمی‌خواهد روح تو را بشناسد، چون آن‌وقت باید مسئولِ چیزی واقعی شود.
و عشقِ واقعی همیشه مسئولیت دارد — ترسناک‌ترین بخشِ صمیمیت همین است.



💔 عشق، اگر تنها از یک‌سو جاری شود، زود خشک می‌شود.
کسی که واقعاً می‌خواهد بماند، در میانِ سختی‌ها، هنوز راهی به سمتت پیدا می‌کند.
اما اگر تنها تویی که می‌جنگی،
بدان: گاهی «رها کردن»،
زیباترین شکلِ عشق به خویشتن است.

Last week, a founder from Jalna said something that stayed with me:

“In India, real wealth was never built in flashy businesses.
 It was built in steel, cement, and pipes.”

So I dug in.
 And what I found is something most startup founders overlook completely.

Almost 70% of India’s steel pipe supply still comes from family-owned units across:

-  Gujarat (Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad)

-  Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Jalna)

-  Punjab (Mandi Gobindgarh)

-  Haryana (Hisar)

-  Chhattisgarh & Odisha (near the steel belts)

Most of these businesses are 20–40 years old, started by a father or grandfather with one small furnace and a handful of workers.

No pitch decks.
No VCs.
Just pure operational discipline.

A typical mid-sized unit not a giant like quietly does:

-  ₹40–₹120 crore annual turnover

-  4–7% net margins

-  30–45 days inventory turnover

-  Steady working capital cycles

-  Consistent demand from builders, factories, engineering firms, and traders

Low margin? Yes.
Low glamour? Definitely.

Low risk? Surprisingly, yes.
High volume? Always.

These businesses don’t chase virality.
They chase predictability.

And that’s why they survive economic cycles better than many funded startups.

In a world where everyone is trying to “disrupt, ”India’s steel pipe families remind us of a deeper truth:

Wealth compounds fastest in businesses that don’t collapse when the market mood changes.

Just consistency over decades.

And sometimes, the most “boring” business is the one that quietly builds generational wealth.

We often enter workplaces with the quiet hope of finding camaraderie, belonging, and even friendship. After all, we spend more waking hours with colleagues than with family. Yet the truth is stark: not everyone at your workplace is your friend. And that realization, while sobering, can be liberating.  

Workplaces are ecosystems of ambition, politics, and performance. Some colleagues will genuinely support you, but others may compete, gossip, or even undermine. Expecting friendship from everyone sets you up for disappointment. Instead, anchor yourself in clarity: do your work, stay focused, get paid, and go home.  

This mindset is not about cold detachment—it’s about boundaries. Boundaries protect your energy. They remind you that your primary purpose at work is professional contribution, not emotional validation. When you stop chasing approval, you reclaim focus. You stop overexplaining, stop trying to please everyone, and start delivering results with quiet confidence.  

Friendship at work can happen, but it should be organic, not forced. The danger lies in assuming every smile is loyalty or every coffee chat is trust. Professional relationships are often transactional. Colleagues may align with you when goals overlap, but drift when interests diverge. Recognizing this dynamic prevents disillusionment.  

The discipline of “do your work and go home” is also a safeguard against burnout. Many professionals exhaust themselves in office politics, endless networking, or trying to be “liked.” But respect is earned through competence, not popularity. When you prioritize excellence over acceptance, you build credibility that outlasts fleeting alliances.  

Moreover, this approach sharpens emotional sovereignty. You learn to separate your identity from your job title. You stop equating workplace dynamics with personal worth. You understand that your paycheck compensates your skills, not your personality. That clarity allows you to leave work at work—preserving mental space for family, passions, and rest.  

Of course, balance matters. Professional courtesy, kindness, and collaboration remain essential. But kindness does not require naivety. Collaboration does not require blind trust. You can be respectful without being vulnerable to manipulation. You can be a team player without confusing colleagues for confidants.  

In the end, the workplace is not a family—it is a stage. Some actors will applaud you, others will compete for the spotlight. Your role is not to win everyone’s affection, but to perform with integrity, deliver value, and exit with dignity.  

So remember the wisdom in the quote: Not everyone at your workplace is your friend. Do your work, stay focused, get paid, and go home. It is not cynicism—it is clarity. And clarity is the foundation of resilience, professionalism, and peace of mind.

My mom sent me a video this morning.

A clip featuring Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman — forwarded on WhatsApp with a simple question: “Is this real?”

The claims made in this video were echoed by several notable business icons in separate but similar videos, which she forwarded to me as well.

A simple google search tells me such videos, where no less than the FM of the country, is promising 10X monetary returns with a “small” investment have been circulating and have been fact checked multiple times. 

However, a new series (such as the one mom received) crops up every few months. 

Here’s how I’ve explained to my mum and her wider circle of friends How to Spot a Deepfake or Manipulated Video.
 
When those of us who are tech savvy can be fooled by digital arrests, it is critical that we share information with our seniors who can be a bit more gullible to such frauds. 

Here are the quickest red flags I rely on when verifying a video:

1.⁠ ⁠Look Closely at the Face
Deepfakes often struggle with micro-expressions. Watch for:
•⁠ ⁠Unnatural blinking
•⁠ ⁠Stiff or delayed facial movements
•⁠ ⁠Lips that don’t sync perfectly with speech
Real faces move naturally; deepfakes look too perfect or mechanical.

2.⁠ ⁠Listen for Audio Mismatch
Voice cloning has improved, but imperfections remain. Check for:
•⁠ ⁠Robotic tone
•⁠ ⁠Unnatural pauses
•⁠ ⁠Background noise that doesn’t match the visuals
If the environment looks real but sounds “off,” trust your instinct.

3.⁠ ⁠Examine Lighting and Shadows
Manipulated videos often fail at basic physics. Shadows, reflections, and lighting must align with the direction of the light source.
If shadows fall differently on the face compared to the background, something is wrong.

4.⁠ ⁠Slow Down the Clip
Frame-by-frame viewing exposes glitches such as:
•⁠ ⁠Warped edges
•⁠ ⁠Blurred skin textures
•⁠ ⁠Sudden jumps in head or eye movements
Deepfakes often break under slow scrutiny.

5.⁠ ⁠Reverse Search Key Frames
Take a screenshot and run a reverse image search.
If the frame comes from an older video or a different context, you’ve found the manipulation.

6.⁠ ⁠Check the Source — Always
A video without a credible original source is a red flag.
Newsrooms verify using:
•⁠ ⁠Publisher credibility
•⁠ ⁠Metadata
•⁠ ⁠Official statements from involved parties

In an era dominated by AI-driven misinformation, digital literacy is a form of public safety.

Why I’m sharing this today:
The clip my mom sent already crossed 5.7K views in a few hours and is being shared rapidly across WhatsApp groups.
I’m not sure whether to laugh it off or be concerned…but it shows just how fast manipulated content can move.

If misinformation travels this quickly, then our awareness has to move even faster.
