Columbia Music Industry Club

Oversee the industry-related panels, workshops and events pertaining to the music business operations within the organization

Arrange “Industry Insights” speaker panels & networking events with music business executives in NYC. 

Fully organized and moderated a “Music Law” panel with 3 prominent entertainment attorneys in December 2023; 50+ attendees were present, and we were able to learn more about copyright, AI and prominent legal cases that affect the legal side of the music industry.

- Contacted the participating attorneys and acted as the first point of contact/liason between them, their assistants, and the organization
- Had preliminary calls with certain attorneys in order to better understand their background and expertise
- Drafted a series of legal questions in order to guide the conversation for the betterment of the student experience
- Ensured that marketing materials and communications reached a wide variety of legal organizations and entertainment-based groups on campus
- Fully moderated the panel with the attorneys

Work alongside members of the podcast team to conduct recorded interviews with legal professionals on important legal issues pertaining to the copyright, intellectual property and entertainment law issues of today.

Columbia Undergraduate Admissions Office + Undergraduate Recruitment Committee

- Work with the undergraduate admissions office & visitor’s center to engage prospective students through virtual programming, campus tours, applicant interviews, online panels, and social media engagement.

- Interview and hire new tour guides alongside Admissions Officers before collaborating with Admissions Officers to design a comprehensive training plan for new guides.

- Worked as a Summer Admissions Intern during the summer of 2022. Was selected to film Columbia Undergraduate Admissions’ official campus tour video in the fall of 2022. Visible on Youtube with over 100,000 views.

Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc.

Former President of Alpha Chi Omega, Theta Psi Chapter. 
- Presided over the executive board and chapter of over 100 members, led meetings with entire chapter of 130+ members, attended leadership conferences, sat on the Chapter Relations & Standards Board, assisted with the organization of philanthropic initiatives within the chapter that worked to provide financial assistance to survivors of domestic violence, and assisted in solving conflicts and disagreements within the community in order to protect the unity of the chapter.

- Upheld all chapter standards, held weekly Chapter Relations and Standards Board hearings to maintain chapter accountability, worked along AXO Headquarters to write and approve the Chapter Bylaws for the calendar year, attended yearly conferences, and ensured that all members felt safe and welcome in the community.

- Screened referenced content for possible acquisition. Wrote coverage if/when interested
- Tracked major happenings within the streaming landscape to ensure WBD received the most expansive grant of rights
- Compiled/updated film and series meta-data (e.g. Box Office, Genres, Demographics, etc.) for strategic analysis
- Utilized both Excel and PowerPoint to organize information for the team

Content Acquisitions Intern (HBO/Max)

Worked as a legal intern in the litigation department. 

Created bates numbering logs for attorneys, reviewed and edited settlement agreements and other legal documents, prepared discovery, pleading and exhibit binders for civil hearings, attended hearings, conducted legal research for attorneys and their various clients, and received official training for Lexis Nexis (a legal research data base).

Columbia Undergraduate Film Productions

Wrote the weekly newsletter regarding film screenings and opportunities for involvement (1,200+ recipients). Wrote meeting minutes for weekly executive board meetings. Helped select which student films CUFP would fund ahead of the annual spring film festival where each film would be screened.
