Working as part of the EMEA Developer Relations team at BlackBerry. Evangelising the BlackBerry 10 OS and BlackBerrys vision to development companies and Indie Developers, acting as the bridge between them and BlackBerry to facilitate them porting their applications across and exploring how we can assist.

Developer are able to write code for BlackBerry 10 (BB10) devices using Adobe AIR, Android runtime for BlackBerry, Qt, Cascades, C++, Open GL, Java, WebWorks & HTML5.

From my work with the Qt & MeeGo communities, this role seems a natural fit and enables me to promote an OS that I believe in and interact with communities I love.

BB10 launched with over 70,000 applications this year.

Reached out and motivated the large Qt and MeeGo Communities & Developers to port their applications to BB10. 

Travelled Globally to Engage Qt / HTML5 Developers at Conferences / Hackathons / Meetups. Ultimately Making them believers.

BlackBerry active with working on the ground with the Qt Project at Open Source Conferences like FOSDEM, which traditionally is not of interest to them.

Pulled together BlackBerry Internal Teams to work towards the same goals.

Providing assistance with the Marketing Team for Events and promotions in terms of technical messaging around Cascades UI framework and Qt.

Assisted with Online BlackBerry Support Forums & Qt Project forums.

Strengthened social media links with developers and companies through the use of LinkedIn and Twitter.
