Setup in 4 days during the first lockdown of 2020. Within 48 hours we had 240 orders and we delivered to 900 customers in 8 weeks. I went on a journey from developing the vision, building the team, figuring out logistics and joining 5 others as a van driver to achieve a 4.7 star rating on Trustpilot.

Since then we have developed the business into a technology based solution which enables our customers to have an instant garden makeover with our curated plant collections.

• Developing campaigns and content strategies for a diverse range of brands.
• Creating content ranging from episodic web series, integrated campaigns led by video, cinema advertising, tv/web documentary, an online tv show, animations, stop motion, HR and internal comms films.
• Led in all respects - from winning new business, building relationships, pitching, through to developing concepts, briefing scripts, production & post. 
• Responsible for creative direction of all outputs.
• Built my own business to a team of 5 PAYE staff and a core team of 10 freelancers working across all of our projects - Copywriting/creative, camera, editing, music composition/sound design, animation, colour grading, web development.

• As well as producing, hosting and streaming video content, I worked with our clients to achieve maximum value from that content, from effective SEO techniques to fully interactive video players facilitating advertising, product purchase and data capture.

Whilst working on the strategy for a CSR new business initiative, I recognised the opportunity for M&S to bring the stories of what they were doing to life with video.

• Pitching to the Head of Marketing and Head of Internal Comms I developed a number of story strands around Recycling, Sustainable Fishing and Energy.
• As the marketing strategy for CSR developed into 'the Plan A' campaign, I played a key role in contributing to how those key messages would be communicated.
• I educated key stakeholders about the role that branded video content could play within the business.
• I laid the groundwork within the Marketing/Internal Comms departments for what would become M&S tv

Recently I’ve been producing shows for BBC Radio 4 and am developing a documentary series for tv in the States. 

I'm the host of 'The Firehouse Salon' a podcast and series of events which bring together diverse minds – scientists, philosophers, artists, and innovators – to explore how communication shapes our world. Inspired by Howard Gossage's maverick spirit a 1960s iconoclastic ad man who used propaganda to change the world.
