My work involves dealing with both AWS and Azure and being able to understand the needs of our internal customers and engineers with migrating projects + workloads to the cloud.

Senior Cloud Services Engineer 

Senior Web Systems Engineer

Maintain web systems infrastructure, including projects, performance, and stability of systems around www.ni.com. 

Achievements:
•       Successfully worked with JIVE to migrate on-premise instance of social collaboration software to JIVE's Cloud Hosted services.
•	Worked with DBA team to ensure migration to Real Application Clustering (RAC) databases went smoothly from Application Server Layer perspective.
•	Improved on-time completion rate by engaging with developers and team members before SDLC coding begins. 
•	Increased efficiency by creating daily process for web systems teams in Europe and Asia to hand over work and outstanding issues. 
•	Collaborated with business counterparts to mine website traffic metrics and assist with global website decisions.

Job Duties:
•	Use of Apache web servers and Oracle WebLogic application servers in an n-tier clustered environment.
•	Administer platforms such as Vignette Content Manager, Flash Media Server, and JIVE SBS Platform. 
•	Manage system aspect of production releases by deploying code to WebLogic app servers and pushing configuration changes to Apache, DNS, and NetScaler systems.
•	Manage daily deployment of web applications to staging tiers and assist in debugging applications using tools such as Splunk and AppInternals Xpert (formerly Panorama).
•	Verify web systems for stability before and after environment changes by examining memory usage, CPU usage, and other system resources.
•	Use programming expertise to collaborate with developers and identify issues within code when stability issues arise.
•	Serve as liaison between developers and systems (infrastructure) departments.

Web Systems Engineer

Managed External JIVE community platform and developed custom plug-ins for specific business teams. 

Achievements:
•	Increased efficiency and institutional knowledge by implementing custom plug-in that captured employee solutions and answers that would otherwise be lost in emails and phone conversations.
•	Implemented custom reports for collaborative plug-in to monitor accuracy of employee responses.
•	Created a plug-in using Google Translate APIs that enabled users to translate any page on our external community to another language.  
•	Assisted in implementing application using Google Maps API to boost community attendance and customer collaboration during NIWeek 2010 Conference.

Job Duties:
•	Developed custom plug-ins to ensure platform met customer support needs.
•	Ensured stability and maintenance of JIVE SBS through patches, support-cases, and upgrades.                     
•	Worked with business partners to improve external customer experience and platform navigation.

Programmer Analyst II

Designed and executed key changes within the Instrument Driver Application, a tool that allowed NI clients to download drivers for specific products and devices and other web based applications.

Achievements:
•	Spearheaded creation of tool built on JIVE platform to improve internal collaboration.
•	Initiated a Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) group to assist developers.
•	Redesigned look and feel of Instrument Driver Application to align with other ni.com applications.

Job Duties:
•	Maintained web applications, from continuous improvement (CI) items to major bug fixes.
•	Participated in monthly release process of moving code from staging to PRODUCTION environment. 
•	Developed time management, prioritization, and accurate levels of effort (LOEs) estimates around project management and completion. 
•	Began developing and working within JIVE platform to learn intricacies of the platform.

Programmer Analyst I

Dell

•  Worked with MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) in creating workflows designed to streamline approval and record retention processes for all project documentation.
•  Assisted in researching reporting architecture to allow integration between Dell IT applications and SharePoint; leveraging SQL and Visual Studio technology.

Standardization Intern

•  Developed a working portal for the use of collaborating Dell IT Teams.
•  Worked closely with Microsoft representatives in testing and debugging SharePoint 2007 upon creation of the portal.
•  Assisted in identifying performance issues with other users of Symphony ecommerce application.

Symphony Customer Intern

•  Helped pilot a “failed order” automation project by mapping the various steps used by customers   
   when purchasing a computer from Dell.
•  Assisted in the creation of global team calendar prototype using Microsoft SharePoint portal.
