I am tireless when I am passionate. I am a fast learner and a discoverer. I take my work seriously, but I do have a good sense of humor. I am an extrovert and an articulate communicator with all levels of people. According to my allies and teammates, leadership, creative thinking, and being balanced are some of my strongest qualities. I am a multi-tasker and a responsible and reliable team player. I am extremely driven with a clear goal to succeed. My attitude is built on logical thinking but I often think outside the box. I have both academic and career experience in some of the most challenging yet satisfying areas of sales and marketing, data optimization and client management. As a team leader, I often try to make the workplace an enjoyable space for everyone and I believe the quality over quantity concept is best for lasting success. Here are some of the best lessons I learned through my career so far. o No fuel can drive you forward faster than your thirst for new knowledge. o A good leader is never a boss. o Growing is meaningful only when you improve together. o You never know the limit of your capabilities if you are not up for challenges. o Listening can never hurt you, though it may stir up your ego. I speak Sinhalese, English, Japanese and Korean and my next language goals are Spanish and Chinese. I landed on a treasure trove when I was offered a job at JICA even before graduating from college where I met one of my favorite mentors who told me, "Learning a language is only knowing a medium of communication, but if you learn a career skill together, it will make the language knowledge a great asset." Those words were an eye-opener for my career success path. I do a lot of volunteer work not for the resume but for life satisfaction. I love reading and creative writing but I am not a boring geek. I watch a lot of movies and often listen to music in different languages but ballads and R&B are my favorite genres regardless of the language. I am an easy-going personality who is always ready & confident in doing my absolute best.
