I have been running weekly prompt tests across chatgpt, perplexity, gemini, and AI overviews.

→ Here is what I have learned so far:

1. Branded search and brand mentions matters more than backlinks
2. If your answer isnt in first 60 words, you’re invisible
3. Bullet points, tables, and short paragraphs get quoted more
4. No unique data? There is nothing for LLM model to lift
5. Most AI bots can’t crawl JavaScript-heavy pages
6. Ranking high on Google does not mean you will get cited in LLMs


YES, EVEN IF YOUR CONTENT IS “GREAT”


So here is what I am doing differently for AEO/GEO:

→Writing short, clear answers under each H2
→Covering more specific queries through FAQ sections with schema markup
→Publishing proprietary data regularly 
→Letting LLM bots crawl everything
→Running prompt tests on tools like Scrunch  & Peec AI  to track visibility
→Measuring rankings and citations as separate metrics


Google still matters and probably always will because of its huge distribution and market share, but AI answers are already starting to grab attention

If you are only optimizing for rankings,
you are probably missing half picture.
