NOTE: I am still an employee of FMOLHS but am not currently in a nursing role and I am no longer legally able to work as a nurse tech due to my RN status.
- March 2022 - December 2022
   - Transferred to the Children's OR where I assisted surgical staff in preparing and cleaning surgical suites and procedure rooms before and after surgeries. I stocked core and surgical suites as needed. I acted as a runner moving equipment or gathering needed supplies for other staff members. I helped position and prepare the patient for surgery. I worked in other various roles around the OR upon request that were within my scope of practice.
June 2021 to March 2022 As a nurse tech, I have had the opportunity to assist the nurses on a universal cardiac unit while learning through observation and assistance.

Nurse Technician

Ochsner Health

•	Assist nursing staff in Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVRU) with pre- and post-op patient care.
•	Performed 5 lead and 12 lead EKGs.
•	Prepared patients for procedures utilizing proper technique and cleaning times.
•	Assist Cath Lab staff as runner and patient transporter.

Telemetry Technician

East Baton Rouge EMS

•	Provide Emergency medical care to the citizens of Baton Rouge through medical training, analytical tools, standing orders, protocols, and medical direction.
•	Treat patients using advanced emergency medical care techniques in cardiac and medical emergencies.
•	Administer narcotics under standing orders and protocols.
•	Relayed patient information to medical professionals by radio and telephone to prepare from arrival of patient at hospital.
•	Handled stressful situations to direct professional partner and other first responders to provide the best patient care possible.
•	Daily upkeep of ambulance and station through cleaning, basic maintenance, ordering and stocking supplies.

Paramedic

•	Provide emergency medical care, under supervision, through medical training, protocols, and medical direction
•	Tasks included basic blood draw, wound cleaning and care, collecting and preparing specimens for lab analysis
•	Assisted with minor surgical procedures, OB exams, suturing, and basic orthopedic splinting
•	Daily upkeep of emergency room through hospital-standard cleaning and stocking supplies

ER Technician

•	Worked both inside hospital blood donation center as well as mobile blood drives
•	Often assigned as team leader or supply coordinator for mobile assignments
•	Performed whole blood donation and apheresis donation procedures that were either red blood cell or platelet donation

Blood Donor Tech

As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support, I have over two years of experience in providing quality patient care in various settings, including the Children's OR and Pediatric Oncology Infusion.

I have developed core competencies in vascular access, leadership, and patient advocacy, as well as the ability to work with diverse teams, adapt to changing environments, and overcome challenges. I am passionate about pediatric nursing and committed to advancing my skills and knowledge in this field. I am currently seeking new opportunities to utilize my expertise and contribute to the health and well-being of children and their families.
