This appointment came as a result of my involvement and success in both the management and operational aspects of the business.

As the Branch Manager for the Inland region(Gauteng, Free State, KZN, Mpumalanga, Limpopo), I was responsible for the management and P&L of all operations, finance, administration and legislative compliance for the region.

Averda is a multi-national conglomerate offering integrated waste management solutions to government and industries. 

The Healthcare division in particular underwent massive expansion from 2017-2019 through various acquisitions, resulting in one of the few 'cradle to grave' medical waste solutions in the country.  

As the FPA for the division, I assisted the Head of Healthcare with budgeting, planning, financial modelling as well as strategic advice. I reported directly to both the Head of Healthcare and the Financial Director with respect to operational and financial reporting.

Velocity Media is a start up digital agency and media publisher with various online platforms. I joined the business in a consultative capacity to help the owner create efficiencies, scale and profitability.

Finance and Operations Manager

Travel sabbatical where I backpacked solo spending time in 2014 in New York and San Francisco, then traveling from Colombia to Argentina through Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. In 2015, I travelled through South East Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. 

Some of the highlights included:

•	Attending Spanish school in Cartagena, Colombia.
•	Working at an organic coffee farm in Salento, Colombia.
•	Completing a 10 day trek through the Sacred Valley to Macchu Picchu, Peru.
•	Volunteering at an English school in Battambang, Cambodia. 
•	Competing in stadium level Muay Thai fights in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

My last role was the CFO to one of Bidvest’s Branded Products subsidiaries, Home of Living Brands.
