CTO and CRO here @ Hyperbound. We're a YCombinator startup building the next generation of AI GTM.

Today I’m excited to announce our $15M Series A for Hyperbound. The term sheet was signed in 11 days, with over 30 of our customers and advisors investing alongside us. Even while we smashed our biggest milestone yet on the fundraising side, we had our two strongest months ever, adding more than $1M in ARR each month including multi-6 figure expansions!

Those 11 fundraising days were the most intense of my life. I was raising for 15 hours a day. Breakfast meetings, lunch meetings, dinner meetings, even midnight meetings. And we didn't put our foot on the brakes to raise. By the time due diligence was done, we'd had already grown ARR more than 1.5x.

The round was led by Arnav Sahu  from Peak XV Partners with Snowflake, a massive double down from Y Combinator, and participation from Roble Ventures, and Fellows Fund. The round was competitive and we're so glad we picked Arnav, he's already been an incredible advantage to our team, and will be helping us rocket to series B. 

With that, there were countless lessons and mistakes on the way here. Here's a few that stand out:

1. Your cofounder is everything.

Sriharsha Guduguntla and I have been friends for more than a decade. That bond is the difference between burning energy managing a relationship and putting it into solving the company’s hardest problems. 

2. Customer obsession is not a slogan.

We do 9 hours of user interviews every week, ramping to more than 20 hours across the team. That is not market research, it is our roadmap. The reason fortune 10 customers doubled down is because they can see their fingerprints on Hyperbound. 

3. Great hires compound faster than revenue.

Every week Sriharsha Guduguntla and I pinch ourselves looking at the team we have. The right people do not just build features, they change the trajectory of the company. One engineer can collapse a quarter of roadmap. One CSM can unlock a million dollar renewal. Talent multiplies capital. Huge shoutout to some of our earliest employees who built the fabric of the team Luca Rondanini, Jonathan Tran, Mia Kosoglow and Eugene Reuka! 

4. The bar only rises.

Only about 30 percent of seed companies raise an A. Fewer make it to B. Every round the odds shrink and expectations grow. You cannot coast. You have to treat each stage like you are trying to do something impossible, because statistically you are.

5. Choose customers with focus.

Be very careful about which deals you take. Do not accept contracts just to pad ARR. Work with customers who help you learn with a clear path to further growth. We turned away nearly $500k in ARR from PLG and B2C orgs. In return, we closed over $2M from the right enterprises, the ones that forced us to build depth, compliance, and scale. Focus compounds.

The round is signed. Now it is back to building. You will be seeing a lot more of Hyperbound everywhere.

- And an Office Manager who'll keep the whole team afloat.

Raising our Series A meant I was in 50 hours of VC calls in a single week. There was one tool that made the entire process a LOT easier. 

Parallel made the whole process feel calm.

- Every VC had what they needed from day one: memo, model, and deck in one clean link.
- When questions came in, Renato V. and the team handled them so I could stay focused on the story.
- Big decisions like office space, headcount, and spend were modeled in minutes, not hours.

It ended up being the smoothest raise we've ever run, and we found our lead investor in 11 days. 

And when the post-raise DD came around, the Parallel data room saved me easily another 30-40 hours.
