Rockland Chesed Network

Tomche Shabbos of Rockland County was founded over 30 years ago to deliver boxes of food to struggling families. But as the community grew, so did the need for more comprehensive support. Over the years, we began paying utility bills and offering emergency financial assistance. We thought beyond crises to long-term solutions with job placement and mental health resources.

We have always existed to serve the Monsey community. Now that means taking an important step to unify our many services–Tomche Shabbos, Partners in Parnosoh, Bobbie’s Place, Monsey Camp Fund, and all the others–under one name: Rockland Chesed Network (RCN).

• Effectively managed HR, IT, AP, AR, Logistics, Warehousing, and Compliance functions, fostering collaboration and integration to enhance overall operational efficiency while handling workplace incidents, and reviewing processes for efficiency and compliance.

• Streamlined issue resolution, optimized resource allocation, and enhanced employee productivity, saving executive time and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Tomche Shabbos of Rockland County shoulders the responsibility for the multifaceted needs of Monsey residents through its various programs. We assist community members who are struggling financially, by providing food packages, humanitarian grants, job training, and job placements, as well as other support through various programs designed to offer emergency intervention and the hope for a better tomorrow.

Director Of Development

Hertz Furniture

• Created and maintained strong partnerships with manufacturers to provide strategic advantages in Hertz Furniture's target markets.

• Acted as the liaison between the Merchandising Manager and Hertz’s vendors, communicating collective requirements and feedback to them.

• Provided training on new manufacturers and products to Sales and Project Solutions teams.

• Worked closely with the Merchandising Manager to ensure vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and service on time.

• Familiarized new vendors with our company’s structure, processes, standards, and expectations. 

• Kept vendors informed on developments that might affect demand for their products

• Researched and identified quality products that helped to differentiate Hertz Furniture, meet emerging customer needs, and generate revenue and profit.

• Worked with vendors to improve existing products, develop new products to meet our customers’ needs as well as negotiate exclusive products, private labeling, and other special terms as needed.

• Provided input for product placement in catalogs and promotional material. Made recommendations for product promotions.

• Accompanied reps to new and existing customers to understand regional needs and emerging requirements, and make product/vendor recommendations to reps and customers.

Manager of Vendor Relations & Product Marketing

• Accelerated the growth of the territory of Northern New Jersey by pursuing School Districts via cold calling, providing complimentary sample products and acquiring clients at tradeshows with the goal of generating greater territory profits efficiently and quickly. Generated new accounts by implementing effective networking and content marketing strategies.

• Directed and managed a sales team by structuring sales quotes, maintaining clients post sale that enabled customers to purchase additional orders and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, swift resolution of issues, while increasing customer orders in the future.

• Trained a number of sales associates and managers on product knowledge, manufacturer offerings and sales techniques, that enabled managers to increase sales targets by X%.

• Created reports for management showing pipeline opportunities, sales reports and focus territories, for effective time-management.

Regional Sales Manager

Camp Elyon

•Responsible for implementing and carrying out the daily schedule including activities, lunchtime entertainment, and special camp events for 300+ campers (ages 5 -14) and staff members. 
•Consulted and directed senior and junior counselors in carrying out their respective job duties.
•Trained staff in hands on leadership and organizational skills.
•Planned and oversaw special programs and activities outside of the daily camp schedule.
•Responsible for overseeing campers and staff on weekly trips and special outings.
•Responsible for editing the weekly newsletter.
