It's been a while since I've done a poll and this is an interesting scenario.

about 2.5 years ago there was a person brough on to be an outbound enterprise SDR.  In the first 2 years this SDR generated around 350 enteprise opportunities of which 70 close making it about a 20% close rate.

About 6 months ago looking at the pipeline generated most of them were just sitting there not being worked or followed up on.   During the demos there was no urgency being built.

After missing multiple revenue growth goals the company decided to solely focus on the SDR (not the AE) .  They decided to bring on a new VP of sales and the SDR was to completely follow the process laid out by the new VP, which included a phone and voicemail script to follow verbatim, send pre written email messages, to specific contacts provided.

Under the new VP of sales process the same enterprise level SDR generated 0 opportunities.

Today that SDR was informed by the new sales VP the company was going in a different direction.  

My question is based on this scenario who do you think should have been let go:  1. the SDR,  2. the AE. 3. the new sales VP?
