Responsible to manage and scale Mercari's infrastructure that handles millions of users daily. Working on Kubernetes infra to manage microservices, and building tooling for automation.

Lambda is the software development club of IIT Hyderabad, where people enthusiastic about web and apps come together and discuss/work on things. We conduct seminars, workshops round the year to introduce students to various technologies.

Unacademy

- Improved the website's search relevancy. Used Elasticsearch to create a relevancy score using key metrics like popularity, recency, etc. The result was an improved search click-through rate by 25%.
- Wrote a newsfeed microservice in Golang that can handle a huge number of database writes.

Engineering Intern

Worked on the application BeHungry for two months. I implemented the following things:
- Redesigned the app altogether using material principles and best practices. Included implementing parallax effects using Constraint Layout.
- Added a new feature that allowed to make custom combos. Involved making integrations in menu, cart and payment.
- Implemented notifications about the status of the order using alarm manager.

Android Developer (Intern)

FreeSMS app

- Developed an Android app to send free SMS.
- This started as a personal project when I was 15, the app went on to get over a million downloads on the play store.

An engineer by qualification, an entrepreneur by passion. 

I am driven by the zeal to solve problems that matter the most. I've always been a curious learner with a desire to add value to people around me. I taught myself coding in my high school days and developed an app to send free SMS when I was 15, the app got more than a million downloads in the play store. I majored in computer science from IIT Hyderabad and had a brief stint in silicon valley before founding the startup I'm currently building - Snazzy.
