I run two healthcare companies, and going into 2026, I’ve been thinking less about growth and more about how we actually work.

Healthcare today is not short on effort. It is short on clarity.

So this year, we are changing the way we build and deliver our services. We are integrating better tools, improving internal systems, and removing steps that slow people down. Not to look advanced. Not to follow trends. But to be more accurate in the solutions we provide.

Every decision in healthcare carries weight. For patients waiting for answers. For doctors under pressure. For teams trying to do the right thing with limited time.

In 2026, my focus is simple. Fewer assumptions. Better judgment. Systems that support people instead of overwhelming them.

This year is about responsibility. About slowing down where it matters and speeding up where it helps. About choosing precision over volume.

Healthcare does not need louder voices. It needs clearer ones.

I didn’t realize I was burned out until I couldn’t think straight anymore.

Not tired or overworked.
I would sit in front of my screen and feel lost, even though everything looked fine from the outside.

Burnout is the silent problem in startups.
We chase momentum, push limits, and tell ourselves this phase will pass.
But no one talks about what it does to your focus, your creativity, and your headspace.

A few months back, I hit that wall.

Around that time, a mentor said something that stayed with me: your startup is a marathon, not a sprint.
It sounds obvious, but it landed differently when I was already running on empty.

So instead of trying to overhaul my life, I did one small thing. I started walking for 20 to 30 minutes every day. No phone. No podcasts. Just walking.

That was it.

Over time, my mind felt clearer. Ideas started flowing again. Work felt lighter, not because I worked less, but because I felt better doing it.

Maybe the answer is not working harder. Maybe it’s pacing yourself so you don’t burn out before you even get there.

Every January looks the same.

New goals. New plans. New promises to ourselves.
And somehow, the same delays.

As a healthcare founder running a two companies I see this pattern everywhere.
Practices talk about improving cash flow.
About reducing claim rejections.
About using RPM better for patient outcomes.

Most of the time, the intention is genuine.

But intention does not fix workflows.
Intention does not clean up AR.
Intention does not enroll patients into RPM.

Action does.

The only things that moved our business forward were boring, uncomfortable actions.
Sitting with data.
Fixing broken processes.
Following up one more time.
Starting before everything felt ready.

This year I am not adding more plans to a notebook.
I am adding more actions to my calendar.

Because progress only respects action. Not announcements.

Over time, I have realized this is what leadership really looks like. You step forward when things break. You step back when things work.

Taking more blame keeps you honest.
Taking less credit keeps your team strong.

That balance builds trust. And trust builds everything else.
