Plone Foundation

Plone is an open source Web Content Management System commonly used to build portals, websites and intranets for large organizations like universities and corporations. Plone is one of the 2% largest open source projects worldwide, with over 300 active developers. It is used by organizations like the Brazilian government, NASA, Nokia, Oxford University, the CIA and FBI.

I have had a leading role in the Plone project since its inception in 2000, and have been responsible for product strategy, product management,  community management, developer coordination, user interface and planning of new functionality. I have led both the UI team and Roadmap (product strategy) team, as well as doing hands-on development work, both front end and back-end.

I was also part of the creation and build-up of the Plone Foundation, a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for the promotion and protection of Plone. I have served on the Plone Foundation board for 6 years, including terms as vice president and president.

Zea Partners (Zea) is a European non-profit business network for companies building open source solutions. Zea activities are focused on growing the open source market by pooling resources for promotion, research and advocacy.

Jarn AS

Founder and CEO; product designer, UX lead, front-end-developer, business developer and team leader. Founded Jarn as one of three co founders and built it step-by-step to be a successful and renowned Open Source consultancy that delivered Web Content Management solutions, portals and intranets to happy customers all over the world. 

Customers included Deloitte, the UN, The Nordic Council of Ministers, Oxford University, Nokia, NHS (The UK public health service), Continental Airlines, the US library of Congress as well as several International Universities.
