The rapid growth of AI has become increasingly evident in recent times. Regardless of your technical background, you've likely encountered and perhaps even used AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, DALL-E, and many more..

With so many AI tools geared towards content creation (Generative AI), it's inevitable that YouTube content creators will also leverage these tools to produce content for their channels more quickly and efficiently.

But does using AI negatively impact a channel's exposure?

The answer is yes and no, and I'll explain why:

How Using AI Doesn't Hurt Channel Exposure (and even helps):

👍 Streamlined content creation process: Scriptwriting, high-quality editing, subtitles, etc.
👍 Higher quality content leads to higher engagement rates, which boosts exposure
👍 Efficient content production allows for consistent uploads of high-quality content

How Using AI Can Hurt Channel Exposure:

👎 Content that can be perceived as inauthentic
👎 AI tools can sometimes produce lower-quality content
👎 YouTube algorithm preferences: AI-generated content may have reduced exposure

In Conclusion:

The most crucial takeaway is that quality content is what matters most to the YouTube algorithm. 

It prioritizes highly engaging content. 

Therefore, even if you incorporate AI-generated content into your channel, as long as you do it in an engaging way, it should only help your channel's organic exposure.
